Liverpool Park'Several people were injured after a suspected machete attacker rampaged through streets and a park in Liverpool. Merseyside Police said they arrested a man near Liverpool FC stadium after several people were reportedly attacked by someone with a machete. Officers rushed to Arkles Lane, Anfield, just after 5.30pm to report a man was walking around yelling at people while carrying a machete. A man who is from the area was arrested a short time later in Stanley Park before being arrested and taken into custody for questioning. Police say the incident is unrelated to terrorism and the suspect is believed to have mental health issues. A number of police cordons were deployed in the area tonight, reports the Liverpool Echo. The newspaper said officers had cordoned off Utting Avenue, Ince Avenue, part of Stanley Park and part of Anfield Cemetery. She cited an eyewitness who said they saw a man carrying a "massive machete" and a young man running away with "stab wounds to his arm." The incident took place within sight of less than a mile from Liverpool FC and Everton FC stadiums, both located behind Stanley Park. Detective Chief Inspector Cath Cummings said: "This incident will have been frightening for both those attacked and witnesses and we will give them our full support. “I understand the circumstances will also be scary for the wider community at Anfield. "Thankfully, specialized officers quickly stepped in, arrested a suspect and ended the incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public. "Additional officers will be deployed on high-visibility patrols around the Anfield area in the coming days to reassure the community." "Nobody should be a victim of knife crime and we welcome any information from the public as to where they are kept and who is carrying them so that we can protect Merseyside communities. "I would like to urge anyone who is considering carrying a knife to reconsider and save themselves and others the risk of serious injury and time in police custody." "I want anyone who witnessed this incident or has camera phone, CCTV or dash cam footage, urge them to contact the police.”

Estimated return dates including Thiago and Keita

The Reds added another name to their list of injured players in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Fulham as Jurgen Klopp continues to endure an injury crisis on Merseyside (Author: Gardener)

ThiagoThe Reds added another name to their list of injured players in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Fulham as Merseyside's Jurgen Klopp continues to experience an injury crisis and assist, while No 1 Alisson returned to the starting line-up after his most recent injury. However, Klopp still has eight injury worries ahead of Crystal Palace's visit on Monday. Here's everything you need to know about the current state of affairs at Anfield and expected return dates for those on the sidelines. Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara is just the latest in a long line of injury concerns for Klopp after the Spanish midfielder was sent off after just 51 minutes of competition in the capital last weekend after suffering a hamstring injury that sidelined him. It is now understood that Thiago will be out for the next month and will not play any further action until mid-September at the earliest, although he will continue to be assessed in the coming weeks. On August 6, Klopp said: "And now with Thiago, obviously that's not good and we'll see. Thiago walked off with an apparent hamstring injury during Liverpool's opening day tie against Fulham last weekend. Like a big blow Will Thiago be absent from Liverpool next month? The only way Liverpool can soften the blow from Thiago's injury is to bring Naby Keita back into the squad for Monday's draw against Crystal Palace, which is hopeful that the midfielder scored a direct goal Keita came on as an 85th-minute substitute in the Community Shield win two weeks ago but missed the Anfield clash against Strasbourg the next day when he was expected to beat Klopp "Naby is ill, but I think he'll be back today," Klopp revealed that the Guinea international was struggling with illness rather than injury and was expected to play against Fulham y, day one. Greek defender Konstantinos Tsimikas had not featured in a Liverpool squad since the 5-0 win against RB Leipzig on July 21, which saw him come on as a half-time substitute in Germany, before he was hit in training a few days later and did not remain in the squad for last weekend's trip against Fulham. Tsimikas has since recovered and it is now hoped he will be back in contention for Liverpool's first home game of the season against Crystal Palace on Monday, although he will remain rated until then. On August 5, Klopp said: “Then Kostas was unlucky in a training situation. I've seen him now, he's been out on the pitch and - in his opinion anyway - he might be ready to train next week." Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to be out until the end of the month. The 23-year-old is suffering from a groin injury which contracted with the Republic of Ireland during the international break in June and was unable to play in a friendly for Liverpool this summer and in their first game of the season last weekend, the injury following their 1-1 draw with Ukraine on 14 June , before feeling the same problem again when he returned to Liverpool's training base for pre-season and is expected to be out until next game at least 29, Klopp said: "Caoimh felt something after the international [in June]. We checked it and it hasn't been good so I think he'll be another 2-3 weeks old and then he should be fine signing a new contract with the Red s on paper this summer but he won't be able to repay the club's loyalty to him again this weekend as he is sidelined with a hamstring injury last season after picking up the recurring injury during his pre-season camp in Thailand , and is expected to be out until the end of the month, having yet to return to first-team training. On August 5, Klopp said: "Diogo , it was obviously a little too early, or the injury was different at all. Curtis Jones' injury is worse than first thought as he remains sidelined until the end of the month. Like Keita, the Liverpool man also missed out Youngster Curtis Jones sustained a 3-0 loss to Strasbourg on July 31 despite being a bench-seat player in the Community Shield Man City came on as a 95th-minute substitute the day before, with the midfielder revealed to have featured in his brief cameo sustained an unknown injury Initially it was thought that the injury was not too serious and that Jones might be fit and ready for the trip to Fulham last weekend, but now it looks like he will be through by the end of the month out as he continues his recovery from a calf injury On August 5, Klopp said: "We hope we got Curtis at the right moment, that's the way it is with young players n 30 but was dismissed after 57 minutes with a knee injury and has been struggling ever since as the defender is out for the foreseeable future. It was initially thought that the Frenchman's condition was not too serious and he might have returned in battle for last weekend's trip against Fulham but now it looks like he will spend an extended period on the touchline to add to Liverpool's injury woes." On August 5, Klopp said: "We'll have to see how long it will take but he is gone for a while." Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be out for the next two to three months after picking up another injury in the 2-0 friendly against Crystal Palace in Singapore on 15 July. The 28-year-old was sent off just before half-time with a hamstring injury and has now been ruled out for the foreseeable future, a blow for Klopp as it weakens the depth of his midfield options and could perhaps force him to seek extra cover this summer bring . On July 29, Klopp said: "It's a serious hamstring injury and it's going to last longer.

Spears regularly shared snaps with her boys at the pool, on fun outings like a visit to a chocolate factory, and on a vacation to Hawaii. In 2021, Spears explained on Instagram, "I had my babies very young...at all the pools we visited on tours, all the babies flocked to me because I always brought most of the toys with me 🧸🪁🪀. The exes have had various custody arrangements since their July 2007 divorce, with Federline being the one for many years had majority custody. At the time, a source close to the "Circus" singer said that Spears was hoping to "see her boys more" after her 13-year conservatory ends. "[She is] making an effort to see her kids more and Sam is befriending them too," another source told PEOPLE in January 2022, mentioning Spears' now-husband Sam Asghari. The source also said the new freedom has been "great for her" and has made it "easier" to see her children. Although neither son attended Spears and Asghari's wedding, Federline's attorney told PEOPLE that both sons are "happy for their mother" and "hopeful that Sam and Britney are starting a great future together." "It's [Spears and Asghari's] night and they didn't want to take anything away from them," the lawyer said. However, during an interview with The Daily Mail in August 2022, Federline claimed that Preston and Jayden are choosing not to see their mother at the moment. "The guys have decided that they don't see her at the moment. They made the decision not to go to their wedding," he said. Federline added that he has a hard time talking to the boys about Spears' use of social media. "Look, maybe that's just another way she's trying to express herself," Federline said, explaining the near-nude photos Spears posted online. I can't imagine what it feels like to be a teenager who has to go to high school." Responding to Federline's interview comments in an Instagram story, Spears wrote, "It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband decided to talk about the relationship between me and my children... As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone. It concerns me, the reason is based on my Instagram. Although the pop star previously shared photos of the boys when they were younger, she reiterated several times in 2021 that she "respects" her teenage sons' desire to stay off social media for the most part, noting that it's "bittersweet them older." will see". Fulham showing what's right in football can't hide dark clouds over the Premier League

The League maintains a huge divide between the haves and have-nots, exacerbated by the influence of government-funded ownership models. (Author: Gardener)

LeagueLeaving Putney Bridge Station, up Ranelagh Gardens, through the underpass, through Bishops Park with the Thames on your left and the sun above your head, past rows of immaculate Victorian and Edwardian terraced houses and towards Craven Cottage, which is actually in the middle undergoing major renovation remains a beautifully picturesque sports venue. There really is nothing quite like driving to Fulham on a summer's day. And so it was on Saturday as the club hosted the Premier League for the first time since winning the league title last season. Liverpool being in town meant being back in the big time and it was impossible not to be swept up in all the shiny happy supporters of both clubs as they made their way to the ground. [Klopp says Liverpool's season-opening tie at Fulham felt like defeat after Mitrovic's double] ] Because once you step back a little, throw out the preview inserts, delete the sponsored podcasts and ignore the weather for a moment, you can hard to deny The Premier League seems to be in pretty bad shape right now. Speaking of which, this is also Newcastle's first full season under Saudi rule, a takeover which, let's not forget, was described by Amnesty International as "an extremely bitter blow to human rights defenders" when it was waved through last October. Then there's growing concern over fan behavior, the continued ubiquity of gambling companies, problems with racial slurs on social media, and of course a World Cup taking place in the middle of an election campaign that's as disruptive as it is uncomfortable given where it's going to be held. The World Cup also meant that 'football' came back sooner than it should - let's face it, we could have had at least another week off. Three decades after the founding of the Premier League, it can so often feel like we're in the second act of a dystopian thriller when the murderous machines have taken over and everyone is waiting for a hero to save the day. But football is football, there are regular moments that remind you that for all its mistakes and failures it remains an extremely compelling sport. And Saturday afternoon at Craven Cottage was just such an opportunity, and not just because of the route there. Showing no fear of opponents destined to tear them apart, Fulham displayed organization, aggression and determination from the start, taking the lead twice through goals from the outstanding Aleksandar Mitrovic: the first, a powerful, towering header; the second, a wicked penalty he fought his way through a fast run that resulted in the rarest of things, fooling Virgil van Dijk. Poor, sloppy in defense and lackluster in attack, Liverpool were poor and even Jurgen Klopp, the most loyal of managers, could not contain his criticism of his players, going so far as to question their attitude. "The performance needs to be massively improved," he said. "We can play much better," said the midfielder. "We're disappointed with the performance." To the visitors' credit, they showed the character and quality needed to salvage a point, equalizing first through a beautiful heel finish from the enormously impressive Darwin Núñez and then an instinctive close-in shot from Mohamed Salah , the Egyptian's sixth straight opening weekend goal and eighth overall, a joint Premier League record. It was breathless stuff played in a rough atmosphere, something that, with all due respect to Fulham fans, can't often be said about games at Craven Cottage. [Michael Walker: Geopolitics has never been more prominent as the Premier League turns 30] This was English football at its best: the setting, the noise, the action, the underdog bloodying the nose of the bigger boy, and while it would be naïve to portray Fulham as an antidote to all the bad in sport, as they remain a wealthy, business-minded club that vies with their own fans over ticket prices, their return to the top flight feels particularly good given the persistence from Marco Silva after Saturday's game that they will continue to take the fight to their opponents, regardless of their status. "We have our philosophy, something we build and create from last season," said the Fulham manager. "The most important thing for us is to play with commitment and desire and a lot of ambition to get three points." Bournemouth won on Saturday and it would have been a hat-trick of positive results for the newly promoted had Nottingham Forest gotten something at Newcastle. But, to use the summeriest of words, the early season "vibes" are positive and that's something to appreciate. Because winter is about to come with a paradoxical mix of crushing predictability and unintentional chaos – the rise of the rich to the top and Qatar's moment in the hot sun leave a bitter taste in the mouth while disrupting all plans at the same time.

Everton sign Belgium international Amadou Onana from Lille for £34million

Onana was in the stands to watch Everton's opening game against Chelsea and follows the arrival of defenders James Tarkowski, Ruben Vinagre and Conor Coady and striker Dwight McNeil. (Author: Gardener)

OnanaEverton have signed Belgium international Amadou Onana from Lille for an undisclosed fee of up to £34million, agreeing a five-year deal. The 20-year-old central midfielder, who is regarded as one of Europe's most exciting talents, was ready to join West Ham until Everton stepped in to honor his offer last week. Onana was in the stands to watch Everton's opening game against Chelsea and will become their fifth signing of the summer after the additions of defenders James Tarkowski, Ruben Vinagre and Conor Coady and striker Dwight McNeil. Everton have signed Belgium international Amadou Onana from Lille for a fee of £34million. Strong, quick, technical and with the ability to be deployed in a range of central midfield roles, Onana revealed the chance to play for manager Frank Lampard, passionate supporters and 'one of the biggest clubs in England' were key for his long-term future at Everton. "It feels great to move to Everton. I know it's a big, big club, one of the biggest in England," Onana told evertontv. “It's something I want to be a part of for many years. "Everyone here has shown they really want me and have a plan for me so I really appreciated talking to the manager and director of football [Kevin Thelwell]. They told me how they wanted me to play and I enjoyed it. “The manager was one of the main reasons. He played at the highest level, won a lot of things and was also a midfielder. The highly rated midfielder, who is just 20 years old, has signed a five-year deal at Goodison Park. I saw their support last season and that's also one of the reasons why I chose Everton. Born in the Senegalese capital Dakar, Onana's path to Goodison was via Brussels, where he played for Anderlecht, RWS Bruxelles and Zulte Waregem in his youth before signing for German club Hoffenheim in July 2018. Onana was ready to join West Ham until Everton stepped in. The talented youngster made eight appearances in the Champions League for Lille last season. After impressing there and for a season with Hamburg, Everton's new number eight joined Lille last summer and drew attention in France, where he made 42 appearances in total, including eight in the Champions League. Having progressed through all of Belgium's age groups - including captaining the Under-21s - Onana's progress saw him earn his senior cap against the Netherlands in June. "I think I can play any position in central midfield, whether it's a defensive midfielder or an eighth from box to box. That means wherever the manager needs me, I'll play there," Onana added. “I chose the number eight shirt because I'm a big Kobe Bryant fan. Onana made his international debut for Belgium against the Netherlands in June Everton director of football Kevin Thelwell said: "We are delighted to complete the signing of Amadou and dedicate him to Everton for his long-term future. “He is one of the most sought-after young midfielders in Europe for good reason and has many qualities that our squad will benefit from. Manager Lampard added: "Amadou is a player we really wanted to bring to Everton. He has a lot of great qualities to strengthen our midfield and at just 20 years old has huge potential to get even better. "I spoke to him about why Everton is the right club for him and we are all looking forward to him showing what he can bring to the team."

Real estate agent Andrew caused controversy when he became very close with Coco while he was broken up with Tasha earlier in the series, but he and Tasha finished fourth in last week's finale after Andrew clarified his actions to Tasha. She added to Tasha, "I wouldn't ask that but yours will Dad mentioned it there that it's open 24 hours, so I think I can ask that question." The dancer replied, "It's fair to say the full set is complete," to which an enthusiastic Laura asked, "Are you happy with your day at the spa?" Turning to Andrew, Laura asked, "Do you have the full one too Got treatment?” While Coco was not asked to comment as Laura chatted with Tasha and Andrew, she put on an awkward expression as she sat in the audience before applauding the pair after learning they had slept together. Love Island fans quickly took to Twitter to share their take on Tasha and Andrew's news. When asked why Coco wasn't more involved in the chat given her previous interactions with Andrew, one viewer tweeted, "Wait why didn't Coco ask questions to Tasha and Andrew during the section? Another fan remarked, "If this was an earlier season Coco would have sat on the sofa with Tasha and Andrew and made havoc! I love her #LoveIsland.' Meanwhile, not all fans were impressed with Laura's way of questioning, with some calling for her not to question the couple on private matters. One person wrote: "Why is Laura asking about Andrew and Tasha's salon business???? Mind your business baby #LoveIslandReunion. Another shared: "The worst question was asking Tasha and Andrew if the post villa salon is open. Ffs, they're not kids and we're not kids, we don't need those spasmodic questions about sex and all the giggling at the word #loveislandreunion #LoveIsland. Another viewer wrote, "Laura is obsessed with the salon talk Tasha and Andrew make such a cute couple she looks so gorgeous #LoveIsland #LoveIslandReunion." Laura asks Tasha and Andrew if the 'salon' is open...it is very gross idk #LoveIsland,” wrote another fan. Tasha fumed last month after Coco revealed she had sexual contact with Andrew during Casa Amor, leading him to claim he forgot about the incident. Coco couldn't keep to himself that Andrew had told her he wanted to "ruin" her as he kissed her breast in the pool after she entered the main villa while his former partner Tasha was at Casa Amor. Tasha yelled at Andrew from the other side of the villa after learning of his actions, branding him a liar and telling him he screwed up. After telling Tasha what happened, Coco added: "A lot touching, a lot of things were said. When asked by Tasha if anything else happened, Coco continued, "After he sucked my tits and told me he wanted to ruin me? At the beach shack, Tasha said, "He showed me what he would be like in the outside world, and that's not what I'm here for... Coco later apologized to Tasha, saying, 'I feel like I kept that in.' I." don't want to cry but I feel guilty.' She was then seen taking Andrew aside to tell him that she had disclosed the situation to the group, to which he asked, "You told her everything?" Coco said, "It may have slipped out apologetically," to which Andrew replied, "It's fine, it is what it is." After Tasha pulled Andrew aside to confront him, he told her, "So Coco , obviously we kissed in bed or whatever. I didn't think there was much more to it but she was telling the guys that I kissed her tits or whatever, sucked her tits or whatever. "What do you mean you don't remember?!" asked a shocked Tasha. "A lot of shit went through my head," he told her. Earlier in the evening, Coco pulled Tasha into a girl-on-girl chat about what happened at Casa Amor. Of her time with Andrew, Coco told Tasha, "I don't think you would be happy with some of the things that were said or done." Did you kiss a lot? Coco replied: "He obviously only fed me bulls. He hugged and kissed me in the pool. It was just really intense for like a day.' However, Tasha and Andrew later put their differences aside after he apologized and they became close again before finishing fourth in last Monday's final.

The Catalan giants failed to register their five signings and two contract renewals with La Liga this summer and have been urged to scale back their financial spending. Meetings were held with Pique and Sergio Busquets last week to persuade them to cut their salaries. The Catalan club have a four-day deadline - as their La Liga season starts against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday - for a possible transfer of Netherlands international De Jong, with both Manchester United and Chelsea aspiring to a deal. While United have an initial fee with the Catalan club on a transfer that would reunite De Jong with his former Ajax boss Ten Hag, there is no definitive agreement on a move just yet. With negotiations on this transfer now stretching over three months, Chelsea have expressed an interest in exploring a move. The player's agents Ali Dursun and Hasan Centikaya met with Barca bosses on Wednesday last week and urged the Dutch midfielder to push for the payment of the monies owed to him. Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde have all joined Barca this summer but none will be available until La Liga tell them their contracts are viable with the club's financial situation. The same registration issue applies to Ousmane Dembele and Sergi Roberto, both of whom signed new deals after their previous deals expired. Who will De Jong play for this season - Barcelona, Man Utd or Chelsea? Frenkie de Jong continues to be linked with a move to Man Utd and Chelsea Pique, and his agent Arturo Canales met with Barcelona club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Mateu Alemany at a chic restaurant in the Catalan capital to lay the groundwork for one agreed salary reduction. Last summer, Pique took a pay cut to allow then-new signings Memphis Depay and Eric Garcia to register with La Liga, before Busquets and Jordi Alba accepted pay cuts to allow Sergio Aguero to register. In January, Samuel Umtiti accepted a pay cut - spread over a longer-term contract - to allow the club to sign Ferran Torres. Barcelona's board - led by club president Laporta - took some drastic steps to raise funds this summer by approving the sale of some of the club's key assets. However, this was still not enough to put the club in a sufficiently healthy economic situation ahead of the new season, which led to them selling a 25 per cent stake in Barça Studio to Sozios.com for a fee of around €100m . The combined sale of club assets raised the club €767m - and they had hoped to use those sales to register their new arrivals. That wasn't enough and Barca are now ready to sell up to 49 percent of Barcelona studios. De Jong recently liked an Instagram post criticizing Barcelona's treatment of him this summer as the club continue to make a string of high-profile signings while still owing him money under contract.

Yeremy Pino'sArsenal are still looking for recruits in midfield and higher up the pitch, despite having started the Premier League season in style with a win over Crystal Palace. It's been an exciting summer transfer window for Arsenal and their deal paid off on Friday night as they defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 to open the Premier League season in style. The good news for the Gunners continues and Edu have generated a healthy windfall by selling an absent midfielder in the form of Lucas Torreira. This could help fund a transfer for Leicester's Youri Tielemans, who remains the main midfield target for the north London club. Elsewhere, there is interesting news about Villarreal's youngster Yeremy Pino, who scored seven goals last season and is highly regarded in Spain. Without further ado, keep it here for the latest Emirati transfer news and gossip. That's all for today! Thank you for tuning in to another day of Arsenal live coverage here with Mirror Football. That's all the updates we have for you today, but we'll be back bright and early for more of this on Tuesday. See you soon! Arsenal have netted £5.9million from the sale of Lucas Torreira to Galatasaray, strengthening their coffers as they aim to get deals for Yeremy Pino and Youri Tielemans over the line with the Gunners throughout the summer. The reported interest in Pino is relatively new and, as previously claimed, it will cost over £50m to sign the winger. Lucas Torreira has left Arsenal on a permanent transfer to join Turkish giants Galatasaray, making 89 total appearances for the Gunners and was once considered the future of midfield before falling out of favor under Mikel Arteta. He spent the last two seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina. and is now completing a permanent move from North London. Arsenal's forgotten goalkeeper Alex Runarsson is on loan to Turkish club Alanyaspor for the season, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, according to the Gunners since the 2020/21 season. At the age of 27, the shot-stopper seems unlikely to have a long-term future at the Emirates. Arsenal defender Gabriel declared that William Saliba is among the "best" defenders in the Premier League and gave a glowing review of his debutant team-mate. Saliba, 21, made his first competitive appearance for the Gunners in Friday night's impressive 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The France international assisted Gabriel at center-back while Benjamin White stepped in at right-back and helped Arsenal keep a clean sheet against the Eagles. It was the kind of commanding performance that proved Saliba is ready to flourish in England three years after arriving from £27million Saint-Etienne. Gunners fans have been patiently waiting to see the three-loan player in action and Gabriel summed up their jubilant mood with his comments on the youngster's debut. Arsenal's stadium is getting a facelift ahead of Saturday's Premier League home game against Leicester, footage shared on Twitter has shown. It remains to be seen how much work will be done at the Emirates, but fans will be delighted to see the steps being taken as the ground has looked increasingly worn in recent years. The Gunners take on the Foxes at 3 p.m. Some more details about Yeremy Pino and the Premier League clubs interested in him are starting to trickle out of the Spanish transfer rumor mill. AS claim the young winger, reportedly a target for Arsenal and Liverpool, has a €80m (£67.6m) release clause. The report adds that Pino is regarded as 'one of the jewels in the yellow crown' and sees Villarreal as the best place for him to continue his development. Arsenal centre-back Gabriel welcomed fellow defender William Saliba after making his long-awaited competitive debut for the Gunners. Saliba helped Mikel Arteta's side keep a clean sheet in Friday night's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. "He's very young, very promising and a very good player." Gabriel told Standard Sport about his 21-year-old team-mate. He has now started in the Premier League and was as good a 19-year-old winger for €60m (£51m). Arsenal Women to play second North London derby at Emirates Arsenal Women have announced they have already sold over 20,000 tickets for the North London derby against Tottenham on September 24th. It is the second time the game has been played at the Emirates Stadium and comes after England's Lionesses captured the nation's imagination with their run to Euro 2022. The Emirates will also host November's game against Manchester United and January's game against Chelsea, which are also Women's Super League fixtures. Norton-Cuffy 'not far away' from first-team Brooke Norton-Cuffy says he feels moved not far from Arsenal's first-team after a superb loan spell at Lincoln last season. As a representative As reported earlier (see 12:39pm), the 18-year-old right-back is said to have signed a new Arsenal contract and could be loaned to the Championship. However, Norton-Cuffy is aiming for a place in Mikel Arteta's squad. "It's impossible to tell how close you are," the England Under-19 international told Scouted Football. But I don't feel far from knocking on the door - let's put it that way. “When you see players that have gone all the way through Hale End it definitely gives you extra motivation because you can see yourself in that position. “Villarreal have received more than one interest in winger Yeremy Pino this summer, according to Spanish outlet AS. While no names are given, Arsenal are known to be looking to sign a new winger this summer. Pino, 19, reportedly has a €80million (£67million) release clause, but given Villarreal's negotiations for Tottenham's Giovani Lo Celso, could they be eager for some money?Nuno Tavares has had a great start in life Loan at Marseille and scored a stunning goal in the 4-1 win over Reims. The Arsenal loanee heaved back onto his weaker right foot and placed his shot in the bottom corner. And while fellow Arsenal player Folarin netted Balogun for the opposition, Marseille emerged as the clear winner, prompting midfielder - and former marksman - Matteo Guendouzi to congratulate Tavares on Twitter... Four wingers in picture Arsenal want a winger before the transfer window in September closes 1 - that much is clear. But who could they choose? Mirror Football played through four of the contenders: Cody Gakpo, Moussa Diaby, Leroy Sane and Pedro Neto. Gakpo and Diaby are known to be long-term targets for the Gunners, while Neto has admirers at the club - although Wolves are unlikely to want to sell. Then there's Sane, who was the subject of a surprise request from Arsenal last week. Youngster loaned out on new contract Brooke Norton-Cuffy has signed a new contract with Arsenal, according to The Athletic. The 18-year-old right-back had entered the final year of his current contract and attracted interest from elsewhere after a successful League One loan spell with Lincoln last season. his pals Marcelo Flores (Real Oviedo) and Omar Rekik (Sparta Rotterdam) on a loan deal, with Championship clubs interested. Former Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez is set to join Marseille after his contract with Inter Milan was terminated a year earlier. Sanchez's career has faltered Since leaving Arsenal in 2018, his stints at Manchester United and Inter have not been particularly exciting. The 33-year-old will join Gunners on loan Nuno Tavares and ex-midfielder Matteo Guendouzi in France. Arsenal will find it difficult to sign long-term transfer target Moussa Diaby this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Gunners have been looking to add a versatile winger to their roster all summer. They missed out on Raphinha, who joined Barcelona from Leeds, while PSV Eindhoven's Cody Gakpo remains a possibility. Diaby recently surfaced as another target, and Romano says he's been on Edu's radar for a long time. However, Bayer Leverkusen have no plans to sell the 23-year-old Frenchman this summer, which shows Newcastle's failure in negotiations.Gunners miss RuizArsenal target Fabian Ruiz is on the verge of a move from Napoli to Paris Saint-Germain. According to reports in Italy, Ruiz has now agreed personal terms with PSG, meaning Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus stand little chance of hijacking the deal. That's still a possibility if they move fast, however, as PSG are offering just €20m plus €5m add-ons - an offer that's just under Napoli's asking price of €30m (£25m). So rumors abound Here's something concrete: Mikel Arteta says Arsenal are still working on transfers. "We'll try," Arteta said after the win at Crystal Palace. We're already in the middle of the season.” Torreira exit close to official capture Arsenal are making some progress in their efforts to sell their unwanted fringe players, with Lucas Torreira's move to Galatasaray close to being officially announced. Torreira is earmarked for a move throughout the summer and after many reports linking him with Italian clubs, he is now ready to join Turkish giants Galatasaray. The Uruguayan midfielder was photographed in Istanbul on Saturday with Dries Mertens, who joined from Napoli. Lucas Torreira was in Istanbul with Dries Mertens on Saturday. Arsenal have identified RC Lens midfielder Seko Fofana as an alternative to Youri Tielemans. Fofana has also been linked with AC Milan and Lens have responded by putting a £40m price tag on his head, which is considerably more than Arsenal would pay for the Premier League-proven Tielemans. Fofana recently admitted he could be open to a summer transfer. You can tell yourself you're staying or you're leaving, you don't really know." Arsenal and Newcastle are reportedly interested in Seko Fofana Arsenal have been given a boost in their pursuit of Neto as Wolves are close to winning Valencia- Signing striker Goncalo Guedes. The Gunners have long been linked with Neto, whose versatility and age make him the right profile for Mikel Arteta. Wolves have agreed a £27.5m deal for Guedes with Valencia and the move could encourage them to sell Neto. Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby has emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal despite his £60m asking price. Football Insider reports that Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has given the green light for the transfer. Diaby, 23, has contributed 35 goals and 38 assists in 126 Leverkusen games and is seen as an alternative to PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo. Diaby has previously been of interest to Newcastle and has recently expressed his desire to stay in Germany for another season. He said: "I've made my decision and I'll be back for Bayer Leverkusen next season." Hello and welcome to another day of Arsenal transfer news. I think it's safe to say that we are definitely living in uncertain times.
