Mikel Arteta is still looking to expand his squad after seeing five signings at Arsenal, although the Premier League club's attention is now firmly on departures. The convincing 2-0 win over Crystal Palace further fueled those hopes. Five players have already arrived at Emirates Stadium and Mikel Arteta is also hoping to bring in a winger before the window closes. A move for Villarreal prodigy Yeremy Pino is also close to completion, while Youri Tielemans remains linked with the Gunners. Pablo Mari has joined Monza on loan while Albert Sambi Lokonga is now the subject of transfer talks between the Gunners and AC Milan. Stay tuned to Mirror Football for all of Saturday's transfer news from the Emirates. That's all for today!Thank you for joining us on a good day for the Gunners after a great win against Leicester. But thoughts quickly return to the transfer window as Mikel Arteta looks to continue strengthening his side.Coming Join us tomorrow for more updates! Mikel Arteta has thanked Arsenal fans for putting William Saliba behind after his own goal against Leicester on Saturday. The France defender played his first competitive game for the Gunners on home soil but put the ball into his own net to reduce the score to 2-1. But Arsenal fans were quick to support Saliba and the rest of the team, who soon restored their two-goal lead. "I think the crowd was special, especially after Saliba's own goal," Arteta told I have to thank them so much for that. “William Saliba reacts after scoring an own goal in Arsenal's 4-2 win over Leicester City 45million move from Manchester City to the Emirates and scored twice against Leicester on Saturday afternoon. Gabriel told Sky Sports: "Obviously it helps that we have the Brazilian connection. Come to Arsenal!' Maybe I had a little influence there. The Gunners edged the Foxes 4-2 to maintain their 100 percent start to the season, with Gabriel Jesus being the hero for Mikel Arteta's side. Arsenal were thoroughly dominant in midfield throughout the entertaining duel, with Xhaka a standout player for the hosts. The Switzerland international certainly prevailed in his clash with Tielemans, which comes as a bit of a surprise given the latter's tremendous quality. Highly regarded by many, the 25-year-old has been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United this summer with less than a year remaining on his contract at King Power. But he lasted just over an hour before he was sent off in north London after failing to put a stamp on the game. When he came on, shouts of 'You're going to play for Arsenal' could be heard in parts of the Emirates, proving that Tielemans is still held in high esteem despite his quiet performance on Saturday afternoon. The Gunners had possession, staying in midfield for minutes and taking advantage so his composure, game management and passing ability. During this time, Xhaka liked to sit on the left side of defence, often moving forward to offer another attacking option. The change of position allows the Gunners boss to keep his two players happy, with Zinchenko playing his role more centrally at Arsenal than they are in attack. It was something the Spain coach hinted at when the Ukrainian was first signed. Arsenal continued their successful start to the 2022/23 season with a 4-2 win over Leicester City on Saturday. The Gunners started with the better of the two teams and eventually broke the deadlock midway through the first half when Gabriel Jesus scored his first goal for the club. The Brazilian struck another moment later as Arsenal went two-nil at half-time, despite Leicester having canceled a VAR penalty in the 45th minute. An own goal by William Saliba gave the foxes some hope just after the break when he headed the ball into his own net. But the Gunners restored their two-goal lead through Granit Xhaka, who knocked home after a terrible error from Danny Ward. However, the Foxes failed to make the most of that goal as Arsenal scored their fourth goal two minutes later. Gabriel Martinelli whipped the ball into the corner for his second goal of the season. For five talking points from Emirates Stadium, click the link below. There was another frenzy that saw two goals scored in two minutes as Leicester temporarily halved the deficit only to find themselves two goals down again. James Maddison scored for the visitors in the 74th minute before Gabriel Martinelli struck in back-to-back Premier League games just seconds later. It was a thrilling encounter at the Emirates Stadium and Gabriel Jesus will take credit for scoring two goals and two assists. There is a lot of action in the Emirates, where William Saliba scored an unfortunate own goal when he tried to head the ball back. Moments later, at the other end, Gabriel Jesus turned to the provider. He hits Granit Xhaka and fires home from close range. 3-1 for Arsenal with just over half an hour to go in north London. The ball is rolling again in the Emirates. Arsenal are in Leicester looking to extend their commanding lead and spoil the party. So far, the Gunners have looked dominant. Arsenal are 2-0 at half-time with Leicester and are firmly in the driver's seat after a penalty claim by the Foxes at the end of the 45 minutes. With that in mind, here's some reading for the break... Martin Odegaard is keen to hone his 'handshapes' with Gabriel Jesus as he adjusts to playing behind a new striker for Arsenal. Jesus, 25, joined the Gunners in a £45million move from Manchester City this summer and made his first competitive start in the opening night Premier League clash against Crystal Palace. Odegaard, 23, has been encouraged by their first games together but hopes for an even better connection in the games to come. It's that man again! Gabriel Jesus has scored twice on his home debut for Arsenal in the Premier League. Gabriel Martinelli Leicster heads a sharp corner at the near post and his Brazilian team-mate is there to double the lead. The Gunners take the lead and it's Gabriel Jesus' first goal for the club in the Premier League! It's a beauty from the Brazilian, who concedes the ball from Granit Xhaka and overbends Danny Ward, straight into the top far corner. The hosts lead in the sunny Emirates. We are with the Emirates as Arsenal hosts Leicester in the Premier League. Can the Gunners make it two wins out of two this season? All remains to be seen... Martin Odegaard is desperate to develop his connection with Gabriel Jesus after the partnership showed promising signs against Crystal Palace. In the program notes ahead of Leicester, he said: "I know it's important that I develop a good understanding with Gabriel Jesus early on too. I should have taken a shot and that would have been a great start for us together. 'But I did think our combination play in pre-season was really good and we have a great connection in training too. I really enjoy playing with him so hopefully we can see more of that in the next few games."Mikel Arteta hasn't made any changes to the squad, which Crystal Palace beat Leicester 2-0 this afternoon as Arsenal hosts. Fabio Vieira is fit again in time for the visit of Leicester and Mikel Arteta spoke openly about where fans can expect to see the summer arrival play at Midifeld. "That's something the player will tell us," Arteta said. "We're already testing him in different positions in training and he's been played on the left, right, false nine and attacking midfielder, so it's good." He doesn't want to be fixed in one position because he's so used to it, and that's a really positive thing for us. "Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was asked if Kieran Tierney might make a move to Manchester City this summer. He played 15-20 minutes last week and did really well. He's been out for a long time after the knee injury. "But he looks in perfect shape now condition and ready to go." Mikel Arteta admits that William Saliba's pressure should be relieved at Arsenal. He said: "I think expectations and positive expectations are set when you see something special in a player and it's obvious: they [fans] saw that, they see the talent. Let's protect him." Barcelona could sign Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin in the summer if recent reports are to be believed. The Spain international spent last season on loan at Real Betis from La Liga and continues to look promising with a return to the Benito Villamarin- Stadium linked Now Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo have reported that Barcelona have been offered the opportunity to sign the veteran full-back for free, although Betis remain the player's preferred target Arsenal have a significant boost in their Villarreal pursuit -Winger Yeremy Pino received from none other than former boss Unai Emery Ahead of Villarreal's La Liga opener against Real Valladolid on Saturday, Emery admitted Pino would have to leave if he were the subject of any specific speech, saying: "If an offer for Players like Yeremy Pino come, he must go. It is what it is." Arsenal are willing to wait until Youri Tielemans' current contract expires to secure the Belgian on a free transfer per The Gunners have had an agreement with the player for some time and are confident getting him for less than Leicester's current price Arsenal were put off by the Foxes' £32million demands for the Belgium midfielder as he felt it was too high for a player with just a year left on his contract .Edu is in no rush to sign the player although external factors could quickly change the situation Mikel Arteta believes William Saliba only has intentions to play for Arsenal after making his Premier League debut last weekend . He said: "He was very confident and determined to come here - he never suggested anything else. Just Arsenal." "From the first conversation he had only one intention: to come here and play football games for Arsenal," Arteta added. Arteta continues to seek reinforcements in attack. Mikel Arteta is believed to have an impressive attacking record – but the Arsenal manager is still keen to strengthen his ranks.Among his targets is Yeremy Pino, who can leave Villarreal this summer if the right offer arrives.Mikel Arteta has insisted William Saliba always stay at Arsenal this summer since he was the subject of links with Marseille." The reality is that he was very convinced and determined to come here," said Arteta. "From the first conversations I had with him, you could tell that he only had one intention – to come here and play football matches for Arsenal.” Good morning and welcome to the Mirror Football live blog for all the latest Arsena transfer news l. That's it for tonight. Thank you for tuning in to our live blog tonight. Arsenal return to the Premier League tomorrow with Leicester City visiting Emirates Stadium. Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães has committed his future to Arsenal after being separated from the club this summer. The veteran winger wants a new challenge and could move back to the Premier League. Former Arsenal man Mikael Silvestre believes the Gunners have done well this transfer window. He told The Sun: "Man City got [Erling] Haaland, is very good and then Arsenal were pretty effective too." They're the ones who have achieved, I think, most of their goals. It's been a pretty touchy subject at Arsenal in recent years. "The club have had to readjust their strategy and make sure Mikel [Arteta] can build the squad the way he wants." Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell told the Gunners to sort out William Saliba's new contract following his impressive debut against Crystal Palace. The Rolls Royce after the Bentley, that doesn't bother me. "Listen, Saliba is an incredible player and an incredible talent.

Winners, news and notes on the return of CM Punk

AEW Dynamite Quake by the Lake results on August 10, 2022. (Author: Gardener)

CM PunkCM Punk returned at AEW Dynamite Quake by the Lake after the main event where Jon MOxley defeated Chris Jericho. When the Blackpool Combat Club were outnumbered by the Jericho Appreciation Society in a post-match beatdown, CM saved Punk and cleared the JAS' ring. Punk's return from injury sets up a head-to-head showdown between CM Punk and Jon Moxley for the Undisputed AEW World Championship, presumably at AEW All Out. AEW Dynamite Quake by the Lake promoted Chris Jericho challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. Dynamite also promoted Madison Rayne's AEW Dynamite debut when she challenged Jade Cargill for the AEW TBS title. Dynamite also promoted Ricky Starks vs. Aaron Solo, Darby Allin vs. Brody King in a coffin match, and Lucha Brothers vs. Darby Allin helped get this match going by attacking Brody King out of nowhere during King's performance. Less than three minutes after this match, Darby Allin was already showing bloody scars on his body. When Quake by the Lake came out of the commercial, King's face was covered in blood. This feud was set up with attacks on AEW Meet and Greets, which is creative, but AEW didn't do a good enough job of dubbing those attacks on TV. Sting, wearing makeup over his eye like Malakai Black, pulled off a fantastic save from the coffin before Darby Allin choked Brody King with a chain and chased him into the empty coffin to victory. Predictably, this match wasted no time getting the crowd going with a series of impressive lucha spots and double-team moves. Andrade accidentally super kicked Rush towards the end of the game, and I really hope AEW isn't already teasing another split for Andrade, potentially nearing the world record for most different alliances in AEW. Unsurprisingly to anyone, the ending came as AEW booked another unmask point as Penta unmasked to save Rey Fenix. Fans even chanted "Throw it back" in reference to Penta getting his mask back from the crowd. Andrade and Rush won and received massive heat in return. Luchasaurus mauled Anthony Henry in seconds, then Luchasaurus accidentally punched new AEW manager Pat Buck during a backstage confrontation between Christian and Jungle Boy. AEW continues to do a good job with Wardlow as a credible babyface champion. However, FTR was much more over than Wardlow, who received a strong reaction early on. During a backstage promo, Ricky Starks said he would do this alone as he has done "since day 1". The problem is that Ricky Starks has been on his hip with Team Taz in AEW almost since Day 1. Madison Rayne has still not really been introduced to this audience, and as such there has been a tepid reaction to her as a performer, let alone a potential threat to Jade Cargill. Despite trying to recruit every untapped talent under the sun, Stokely Hathaway remains linked to Jade Cargill - despite leaving her side before she even got to the ring. Rayne was very competitive with Cargill early in this match and even managed to draw parts of that crowd to her side. Rayne and Cargill had a couple of sticky spots and "got it all" moments when AEW's newest coach worked with their cherished student. The lack of crowd heat also hurt this match, which had a happy ending. Chris Jericho walked to classic Lionheart-themed music in old-school Lionheart gear. AEW began introductions for its main event at approximately 6:25am PST. Jericho looked 10 years younger in his Lionheart attire, with a clean-shaven face and even sporting Arena Mexico style as his age began to show. Chris Jericho, who resembled Triple H and Batista at WrestleMania 35, brutally ripped off Jon Moxley's ear piercing, triggering chants of "You sick f—k!" Jon Moxley has bled again, and he may have a bleeding streak in Interim AEW World Title matches. At an almost obligatory point, Chris Jericho hit a beautiful Lionsault. In a peculiar move, Dynamite went on a picture-in-picture commercial break during a climax when Jon Moxley was trapped in the Boston Crab. Jon Moxley suffered a Judas Effect after hitting his head on an exposed turnbuckle only to become the first person to ever step out of the Judas Effect. Jericho - who lost via tapout - ended up bleeding in a double-juice main event, and his blood was far bloodier than Moxley's. When the main event ended at 6:55 p.m. PST, I knew AEW needed to build up a big post-match angle. With the return of CM Punk, they delivered. Knocking out and blowing right past CM Punk, Jon Moxley set up a major feud between these two at a time when AEW needs it most.

Manchester City are interested in Atletico Madrid left-back Renan Lodi

Transfer notebook: Manchester City are interested in Atletico Madrid left-back Renan Lodi (Author: Gardener)

Atletico MadridManchester City will assess whether to add a senior left-back to Pep Guardiola's squad and are reviewing several options on a shortlist that includes Atletico Madrid's Renan Lodi. Sergio Gomez, 21, is close to joining the Etihad Stadium in a £11m deal from Anderlecht but could still be loaned out this season should City acquire another full-back who is a regular in Guardiola's first-team . If the Spain Under-21 international completes his contract formalities, City will remain in the left-back market following Oleksandr Zinchenko's move to Arsenal this summer. City were interested in a deal for Marc Cucurella at Brighton but refused to be drawn into a bidding war for the Spaniard, who eventually joined Chelsea in a £60million deal, leaving the Premier League champions without their target , adding Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips as summer first-team signings. Atletico are set to be interested in Lodi in the final weeks of the summer transfer window. Lodi, who won La Liga two seasons ago, is the profile of a player who would fit straight into Guardiola's squad, but Atletico may see him in the same price bracket as Cucurella. The 28-year-old has a wealth of experience in European football after seven seasons at the Westfalenstadion and an international career that has included playing in the final and winning Euros in 2016. City have also been chasing Croatian full-back Borna Sosa in Stuttgart. who has played Bundesliga football regularly than options are being explored. Guardiola has played against Joao Cancelo at left-back in the Community Shield and in the Premier League opener at West Ham. With the summer deadline approaching, players with Premier League experience like Kieran Tierney could come into play. Zinchenko joined Arsenal to play in midfield but started the season well at left-back, where Tierney has played since 2019. Brighton have made Villarreal left-back Pervis Estupiñán their top target to replace Marc Cucarella following his departure from Chelsea. Cucarella's £60m move to Stamford Bridge has prompted Graham Potter to look for a left-back before the summer transfer window closes at the end of the month. Estupiñán was on Brighton's radar after two seasons under Unai Emery and a loan spell at Osasuna in La Liga. The Ecuador international is seen as a player who could adapt immediately to the Premier League and has been pursued by other English clubs, with Brighton pushing hard for his signature. Nottingham Forest is among those interested in Estupiñán. Manchester United have agreed a seasonal deal for Ethan Laird to join QPR and be part of their Championship promotion campaign. The 21-year-old worked on short-term contracts at Swansea and Bournemouth last season and had a number of Tier Two clubs chasing his 2022/23 signature. QPR head coach Michael Beale, victorious in his first game at the club over the weekend against Middlesbrough, has won the race to sign the full-back. Erik ten Hag played at right-back against Diogo Dalot in the weekend's defeat by Brighton and also had Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the bench and the Netherlands manager was willing to loan Laird out for regular games. Last season, Laird featured in 20 of Swansea's league games before United floated an option to recall him in January, which then took him to Bournemouth where he helped secure promotion back to the Premier League. Nottingham Forest have signed Swiss midfielder Remo Freuler as their 13th signing of the summer. Forest have spent more than £90m since promotion to the Premier League and are considering a range of other targets before the transfer window closes. Manchester United midfielder James Garner remains on their radar but Forest has cooled his interest in Wolves attacker Morgan Gibbs-White. Forest offered £25million plus significant surcharges for Gibbs-White last week but the proposal was rejected and the club are now considering other options.

The key Sheffield United figure gives Sander Berge a clear transfer stance

Please use a supported version for the best MSN experience. Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom has reiterated that Sander Berge is not for sale this summer - and he has the support of club owner Prince Abdullah in keeping the Norwegian at Bramall Lane. It has not been a smooth time in South Yorkshire for the mighty engine room operator, who missed much of United's campaign of relegation from the Premier League through injury and was again on the touchline for part of last season with a hamstring injury. Eventually Berge returned to the starting XI under Heckingbottom and showed strong form towards the end of the season which he continued at the start of the current season when he scored in last weekend's 2-0 win over Millwall in the team's championship. Berge plays in a more advanced midfield role and all eyes are on Berge to hit the back of the net more regularly and his upturn in form earlier in the year has seen more transfer speculation surrounding his name. Recently, Club Brugge - who have plenty of cash in the bank from Charles De Ketelaere's move to AC Milan - have been linked with a nosedive and are said to be ready to smash their transfer record to bring Berge back to Belgium. However, it doesn't appear United will benefit from him thanks to Heckingbottom's traction and he has the support of the hierarchy to build his team around the midfielder. "It's been there all along," Heckingbottom said of Berge's transfer interest this summer, according to the Sheffield Star. The club are on record and have said we don't need to sell and I am grateful to Prince Abdullah and the board that we are not. "I'm pleased that the board sees it that way too, because we need our best players here to give ourselves the best possible chance of finishing as high as possible. "Sander is one of them and I want our players here, I like them all and I want to use them all. “But I need the support of Prince Abdullah and the board. They did and I am grateful for that. I'm paid to protect the team, that's my job. But my job is to protect the team. "From my perspective, I'm 100 per cent against it." When all is said and done, the fact that Berge has a £35million release clause in his contract means the club's hands are tied if a bid so level reached. Anything below that and it looks almost certain United will be holding Berge - unless he starts making noise about wanting to leave Bramall Lane. Berge appear to have settled in Yorkshire despite the club not playing in the Premier League, but we know the Norway international, who is on his best form, is a top player. He'll need to show some consistency though - staying injury free for a full season will be the main thing but he has the potential to be the best player in the league if everything goes right and if he's in form. then the Blades are safe candidates for promotion.

Jones Knows believes Manchester United will suffer their seventh league defeat at Brentford

Match highlights from all Premier League games this season will be shown on the Sky Sports website and app; Watch Brentford v Man Utd, Nottingham Forest v West Ham, Chelsea v Tottenham and Liverpool v Crystal Palace live on Sky Sports; Play Super 6 to win £250,000! (Author: Gardener)

Jones KnowsManchester United will suffer a seventh consecutive defeat at Brentford, says Jones Knows, who also sees Leicester take a point at Arsenal. For the sake of Everton's away form, there is hope that Frank Lampard took a long look in the mirror over the summer. As a Premier League manager, the way Lampard put his teams on the road was surprisingly poor judging by defensive numbers. In 38 games as manager at the highest level with a side from Chelsea that won the Champions League just six months after his departure and at Everton, Lampard's teams have scored 73 goals on the road and trained on average 1.92 goals conceded every 90 minutes. And I'm willing to give Lampard, a highly intelligent man to add, in that regard, due to the signing of James Tarkowski and Conor Coady, if in doubt. * Super 6 is back with a £250,000 jackpot and focuses on the six biggest games of the Premier League weekend. With Aston Villa lacking offensive tricks, Everton have no one to score and it is very likely that they will play with great vigour. Given their solid defence, a low-points encounter is expected at Villa Park. Unfortunately this has been noticed by the markets where the under 2.5 goal line at Sky Bet is a meager 8/11 so there's no real enthusiasm for me to get involved. Those looking for a higher prize might like the look of the draw and under 2.5 goals in the game at 100/30. If you need more evidence to show Arsenal are likely to be battling for a place in the top four this season, just look at their price this game: Mikel Arteta's men are 1/2 with Sky Bet to one dangerous Leicester City side have players in their ranks that clubs seem willing to pay obscene sums of money for. Despite their very determined performance at Selhurst Park, where William Saliba and Aaron Ramsdale took center stage, that number strikes me as a bit high. I've been swimming against a very anti-Leicester narrative for the past few weeks (I endorsed them for a top 6 finish) so I feel compelled to follow them here for a finish. For 60 minutes against Brentford last weekend I felt very complacent as they looked an impressive team. Brendan Rodgers' men have failed to score in just one of their last 13 games, netted 23 goals in total and failed to trouble the scorers in just two of their 19 away Premier League games last season, meaning Arsenal are a match or even a bet Must be more determined than Crystal Palace. When it comes to prices, Leicester are looking to get a result. This might turn out to be the most entertaining game of the weekend. We have two teams full of confidence who are getting used to winning football games. Only Man City (26), Liverpool (24) and Tottenham (23) have gained more points than Brighton since April, while Newcastle's 41 points from 20 Premier League games in 2022 have only been beaten by Liverpool (52), Man City (46) and Tottenham (44). * Two Super 6 players correctly predicted the first five points and found themselves in West Ham's £1m battle against Manchester City. Brighton are yet to be trusted at home, however, having only managed 19 at the Amex last season. As the Toon are rated 2/1 as underdogs with Sky Bet they are pushed to improve this game with Joe Willock catching my attention with his shots/goals. It puts him in great positions which has boosted his shots per game and expected goals average since the turn of the year, but his prices in the markets remain very attractive for a player with his attacking intent. He has led Newcastle in shots per 90 (2.27) since mid-January and looked like a man who played with great confidence and momentum in the win against Nottingham Forest, hitting three shots with an expected scorer return of 0.19 and seven Notching touches in the opposition box. Along with Callum Wilson, who continues to be of interest in all goalscoring markets, Willock is one of the most likely routes to Newcastle's goal. This makes its price of 7/1 with Sky Bet for scoring anytime in a game pretty silly. Newcastle are keen to get some of that. Anyone 40/1 with Sky Bet to win at Bournemouth? This is a side who are unbeaten in their last nine league games and have kept clean sheets in each of their last four games, including surprising many viewers with their top-level performance at home against Aston Villa last weekend. Then it's best to avoid the matchstick markets. With City now weaponized by Erling Haaland - who provides pace and ruthless finishing - opposing managers will rewrite the book on football tactics to create a problem for Pep Guardiola's men. Those thinking about backing the possibility of Pep's boys achieving a cricket result should take note of the predicted 32C temperature in Manchester on Saturday. My faith in Ralph Hasenhuttl to get Southampton rolling and play with confidence and threat sometime this season should be enough to keep Saints above the drop zone. If they lose on Saturday they will equal a club record six straight league defeats, albeit in two different seasons. My biggest concern for them in the short term is the time it takes an already shaky defense unit to adjust to playing in front of a very inexperienced young goalkeeper in Gavin Bazunu who appears to be a serious talent but like any goalkeeper takes time Understand the demands and pressures of playing at this level. Although he didn't make any mistakes against Tottenham I thought he looked very nervous in all aspects of his game. With that in mind, and given Southampton's terrible defensive record lately where they have conceded 34 goals in their last 14 Premier League games, I would steer people in the direction of assisting goals. All of this equates to the 10/11 both teams scored and the game over 2.5 goals scored - a bet that has landed in five of Saints' last six games - considered a solid betting tactic for your money almost double. While it won't garner much attention from the wider media, this feels like a massive game for Wolves and their boss Bruno Lage, who has overseen a return of just two points in the last 24 available eight games. Molineux fans were also faced with slags with a disappointing draw against Norwich and defeats by Brighton and Leeds, which are no doubt fresh in memory despite the start of a new season. The performances weren't there to fall back on either, illustrated by an expected home goals tally of 21.81 last season - only Norwich recorded a lower total. Lage remains popular and will have his name sung, with anger from the stands following a lack of support for the boss directed more towards the ownership and management side of the club. And a fully pumped Fulham side, fresh off a hugely impressive and exciting performance against Liverpool, are not ideal opponents when the home fans are demanding any victory. Marco Silva is not one to adapt his system to be able to play away so I expect Fulham to pick up where they left off last weekend. Here we have a side that were the top away goalscorers in all four divisions (50) last season and scored four goals more than second-best Wigan (46). Fulham looks like a nice price to me at 2/1 with Sky Bet. I'd also like to apply my 'inexperienced referee' theory to bring Fulham's price up to 7/1 in the hopes of a busy afternoon ahead of him. John Brooks has previously officiated just four Premier League games, averaging a whopping 5.25 cards per 90 minutes. Players are keenly aware of the referee's inexperience at the highest level and that, coupled with a more rigorous approach where a referee looking to impress does not have the authority to let the game flow, makes the card odds very attractive. In a potentially aggressive game played in a pressurized environment, adding the game to get 50 or more booking points (10 for yellow, 25 for red) makes perfect sense. Brentford have gained 22 points since March - only six Premier League sides have won more. At 11/4 with Sky Bet, they're certainly worth a swing, as is the lack of cohesion and strategy from a giant so fallen who remains more focused on the club's name than performance on the pitch. Another defeat here would result in seven wins away – something that hasn't happened since 1936. One potential area of betting interest that I will be keeping a close eye on over the next few weeks is Manchester United's lack of size, organization and physicality when defending from set pieces. They played like a side without a plan for much of their loss to Brighton, including the way they defended Brighton's set-piece attacks. Both Lewis Dunk and Adam Webster have had attempts on goal in situations like this and you can guarantee that Brentford, a very smartly trained team, will try to create a threat in the same way. Pontus Jansson is usually the man to look for the first contact - he's averaged 0.6 shots per 90 minutes last season and scored three goals himself. United's overall record of repelling set pieces in 2022 is actually pretty strong - only Manchester City (0) have conceded fewer goals than United's two this calendar year. So that was enough to resist me officially pulling a bet deduction, but the 11/10 for a Jansson shot and the 14/1 for him to score anytime is certainly worth a second look for those looking for an angle. Jumping too hard Conclusions at this point in the season rarely bode well from a betting house's record, so I'm happy to forgive Nottingham Forest for such a poor and shy performance at Newcastle last weekend. Steve Cooper's men produced an expected goal total of just 0.28 with five shots on target at St James' Park and completely dominated key areas of the pitch, particularly in midfield where Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes Forest showed how to make a Premier League game masters. I expect much more effervescence, enthusiasm and sparks from Cooper's boys when Premier League football returns to the City Ground for the first time in 23 years and 82 days, the longest gap between games by a team in Premier League history. Of Forest's starting line-up last week, Brennan Johnson and Neco Williams were not even born when Forest last played at this level and the average price of a pint of lager was £1.90. I'm expecting a rowdy, cup-like atmosphere - something David Moyes will be keen for his team to pull off in the opening games. The Hammers scored 55 percent of their goals after halftime last season and the Evens for the second half to score the most goals makes sense for those looking to attack a market. No matter how scary it sounds trusting Tottenham to win a game of football at Stamford Bridge, if I'm fully invested in the theory that Spurs pose a threat in every competition they play this season, then I just have to support them with Sky Bet an undercooked and unconvincing Chelsea team as underdogs on 10/21. to beat. Many of you will be yelling at me now for pointing out that Chelsea have lost just one of their last 32 home games in the league against Spurs and won 21 in the last six months - stagnant. This is a perfect time for Spurs to travel to west London. Thomas Tuchel is clearly not happy with the tools at his disposal before the transfer window closes and that was marked by their slow and steady performance in the 1-0 win over Everton. There appeared to be a lack of offensive imagination and cohesion as they stumbled to an expected goal total (excluding penalties) of just 0.86 - a fairly low number considering they were 16 in the game against a side unable to defend set pieces Corners won. A lack of imagination in attacking areas was a problem in 2022. Chelsea have netted just 34 goals since the start of the year from an expected tally of 32.1, with Liverpool (46), Man City (50) and Tottenham (51) all showing far more in the final third. With Chelsea's defense still among the best in the Premier League and Spurs very unlikely to run away with the game, I'm happy to be greedy and up the price by backing Conte's men, to win by one goal on 7/2. If Liverpool bring the same lack of liveliness, physicality, desire and pressing to the table in their 2-2 draw with Fulham, those who win 1/4 with Sky Bet in a home win could be in for financial pain. A team that normally averaged 19.1 shots per game last year in the Premier League and recorded an expected goal tally of 2.50 fell well short of their usual standards with just 11 shots and an xG of 1.23. They also recorded the lowest distance of any team last weekend, being passed by Fulham by a mere 7km - only Aston Villa (7km) and Wolves (8.6km) were passed by a greater distance on the opening weekend. That makes this absolutely awful timing for Crystal Palace to go to Anfield. Although the season started with a loss to Arsenal, there have been encouraging signs for Patrick Vieira's side in their approach game, but I'm not really convinced yet that they will score enough goals to make a serious move into the top 8 this season . The Reds have conceded just four goals in their last 14 home Premier League games and a fourth straight win against Palace is expected (4/5 with Sky Bet).

Liverpool Park'Several people were injured after a suspected machete attacker rampaged through streets and a park in Liverpool. Merseyside Police said they arrested a man near Liverpool FC stadium after several people were reportedly attacked by someone with a machete. A man who is from the area was arrested a short time later in Stanley Park before being arrested and taken into custody for questioning. "Thankfully, specialized officers quickly stepped in, arrested a suspect and ended the incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public. "Additional officers will be deployed on high-visibility patrols around the Anfield area in the coming days to reassure the community." "Nobody should be a victim of knife crime and we welcome any information from the public as to where they are kept and who is carrying them so that we can protect Merseyside communities. "I would like to urge anyone who is considering carrying a knife to reconsider and save themselves and others the risk of serious injury and time in police custody." "I want anyone who witnessed this incident or has camera phone, CCTV or dash cam footage, urge them to contact the police.”

Estimated return dates including Thiago and Keita

The Reds added another name to their list of injured players in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Fulham as Jurgen Klopp continues to endure an injury crisis on Merseyside (Author: Gardener)

ThiagoThe Reds added another name to their list of injured players in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Fulham as Merseyside's Jurgen Klopp continues to experience an injury crisis and assist, while No 1 Alisson returned to the starting line-up after his most recent injury. However, Klopp still has eight injury worries ahead of Crystal Palace's visit on Monday. Here's everything you need to know about the current state of affairs at Anfield and expected return dates for those on the sidelines. Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara is just the latest in a long line of injury concerns for Klopp after the Spanish midfielder was sent off after just 51 minutes of competition in the capital last weekend after suffering a hamstring injury that sidelined him. It is now understood that Thiago will be out for the next month and will not play any further action until mid-September at the earliest, although he will continue to be assessed in the coming weeks. On August 6, Klopp said: "And now with Thiago, obviously that's not good and we'll see. Thiago walked off with an apparent hamstring injury during Liverpool's opening day tie against Fulham last weekend. Like a big blow Will Thiago be absent from Liverpool next month? The only way Liverpool can soften the blow from Thiago's injury is to bring Naby Keita back into the squad for Monday's draw against Crystal Palace, which is hopeful that the midfielder scored a direct goal Keita came on as an 85th-minute substitute in the Community Shield win two weeks ago but missed the Anfield clash against Strasbourg the next day when he was expected to beat Klopp "Naby is ill, but I think he'll be back today," Klopp revealed that the Guinea international was struggling with illness rather than injury and was expected to play against Fulham y, day one. Greek defender Konstantinos Tsimikas had not featured in a Liverpool squad since the 5-0 win against RB Leipzig on July 21, which saw him come on as a half-time substitute in Germany, before he was hit in training a few days later and did not remain in the squad for last weekend's trip against Fulham. Tsimikas has since recovered and it is now hoped he will be back in contention for Liverpool's first home game of the season against Crystal Palace on Monday, although he will remain rated until then. On August 5, Klopp said: “Then Kostas was unlucky in a training situation. I've seen him now, he's been out on the pitch and - in his opinion anyway - he might be ready to train next week." Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to be out until the end of the month. The 23-year-old is suffering from a groin injury which contracted with the Republic of Ireland during the international break in June and was unable to play in a friendly for Liverpool this summer and in their first game of the season last weekend, the injury following their 1-1 draw with Ukraine on 14 June , before feeling the same problem again when he returned to Liverpool's training base for pre-season and is expected to be out until next game at least 29, Klopp said: "Caoimh felt something after the international [in June]. We checked it and it hasn't been good so I think he'll be another 2-3 weeks old and then he should be fine signing a new contract with the Red s on paper this summer but he won't be able to repay the club's loyalty to him again this weekend as he is sidelined with a hamstring injury last season after picking up the recurring injury during his pre-season camp in Thailand , and is expected to be out until the end of the month, having yet to return to first-team training. On August 5, Klopp said: "Diogo , it was obviously a little too early, or the injury was different at all. Curtis Jones' injury is worse than first thought as he remains sidelined until the end of the month. Like Keita, the Liverpool man also missed out Youngster Curtis Jones sustained a 3-0 loss to Strasbourg on July 31 despite being a bench-seat player in the Community Shield Man City came on as a 95th-minute substitute the day before, with the midfielder revealed to have featured in his brief cameo sustained an unknown injury Initially it was thought that the injury was not too serious and that Jones might be fit and ready for the trip to Fulham last weekend, but now it looks like he will be through by the end of the month out as he continues his recovery from a calf injury On August 5, Klopp said: "We hope we got Curtis at the right moment, that's the way it is with young players n 30 but was dismissed after 57 minutes with a knee injury and has been struggling ever since as the defender is out for the foreseeable future. It was initially thought that the Frenchman's condition was not too serious and he might have returned in battle for last weekend's trip against Fulham but now it looks like he will spend an extended period on the touchline to add to Liverpool's injury woes." On August 5, Klopp said: "We'll have to see how long it will take but he is gone for a while." Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be out for the next two to three months after picking up another injury in the 2-0 friendly against Crystal Palace in Singapore on 15 July. The 28-year-old was sent off just before half-time with a hamstring injury and has now been ruled out for the foreseeable future, a blow for Klopp as it weakens the depth of his midfield options and could perhaps force him to seek extra cover this summer bring . On July 29, Klopp said: "It's a serious hamstring injury and it's going to last longer.

All about Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's 2 children

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were married for three years and have two sons together, Sean Preston and Jayden James (Author: Gardener)

Kevin Federline'sBritney Spears and Kevin Federline's boys are all grown up. The former couple have two children together, sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15. Growing up, Preston and Jayden would often accompany their mother on tours and visit her while she was in Las Vegas. Spears regularly shared snaps with her boys at the pool, on fun outings like a visit to a chocolate factory, and on a vacation to Hawaii. In 2021, Spears explained on Instagram, "I had my babies very all the pools we visited on tours, all the babies flocked to me because I always brought most of the toys with me 🧸🪁🪀. Despite their relatively public lives, a source told PEOPLE in 2019 that Preston and Jayden were "well adjusted." They keep Britney updated on school projects," the source said, noting that they were a support system for Spears during the Conservatorship litigation. Federline and Spears raise their boys together, which the former backup dancer admitted can be complicated. "When you're a co-parent, you have to be willing to give up some of the things that you'd really love to do," he told Bravo's Personal Space in 2017. The exes have had various custody arrangements since their July 2007 divorce, with Federline being the one for many years had majority custody. After Spears' father Jamie Spears was suspended as curator of Britney's estate, Federline's attorney told PEOPLE that Preston and Jayden "would benefit from removing stress from their lives so they can have their mother at her best." At the time, a source close to the "Circus" singer said that Spears was hoping to "see her boys more" after her 13-year conservatory ends. "[She is] making an effort to see her kids more and Sam is befriending them too," another source told PEOPLE in January 2022, mentioning Spears' now-husband Sam Asghari. The source also said the new freedom has been "great for her" and has made it "easier" to see her children. Although neither son attended Spears and Asghari's wedding, Federline's attorney told PEOPLE that both sons are "happy for their mother" and "hopeful that Sam and Britney are starting a great future together." "It's [Spears and Asghari's] night and they didn't want to take anything away from them," the lawyer said. However, during an interview with The Daily Mail in August 2022, Federline claimed that Preston and Jayden are choosing not to see their mother at the moment. "The guys have decided that they don't see her at the moment. They made the decision not to go to their wedding," he said. Federline added that he has a hard time talking to the boys about Spears' use of social media. "Look, maybe that's just another way she's trying to express herself," Federline said, explaining the near-nude photos Spears posted online. I can't imagine what it feels like to be a teenager who has to go to high school." Responding to Federline's interview comments in an Instagram story, Spears wrote, "It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband decided to talk about the relationship between me and my children... As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone. It concerns me, the reason is based on my Instagram. Although the pop star previously shared photos of the boys when they were younger, she reiterated several times in 2021 that she "respects" her teenage sons' desire to stay off social media for the most part, noting that it's "bittersweet them older." will see". "I haven't posted any pictures of them in a while because they are at the age where they want to express their own identity and I totally get it," she wrote on Instagram in March 2021.
