Seth Rollins unsafe at WrestleMania after KO loss

WWE Raw results, grades: Seth Rollins unsafe at WrestleMania after Kevin Owens match while stars paid tribute to Scott Hall (Author: Gardener)

Seth RollinsWWE Superstar Kevin Owens faced Seth Rollins in Raw's Main Event with his WrestleMania 38 match with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin on the line. It was an emotional night for wrestlers and fans alike following the death of two-time Hall of Famer Scott Hall, as WWE broke the news at the start of Monday's show with a graphic paying tribute to the villain. Owens was in a difficult position having to get Raw going under very difficult circumstances, with fans at home and in the arena reeling from the news. He was hyping his WrestleMania 38 edition of The KO Show next month with 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin as a guest, and while he was on form it was hard for people to really take it all in. Backstage, Seth was disappointed that he was doing it. Having not set a path for the Immortals Showcase, he later went into the ring to present the return of his own talk show, Rolling Report, with Austin as HIS guest. Of course, KO wasn't impressed, but Sonya Deville made Monday's main event official - Rollins vs. Owens, and the winner would face Stone Cold at WrestleMania. The match itself was spectacular, with Kevin legitimately claiming the win with a stunner - but the Jacksonville audience (and Twitter) were clearly expecting ex-AEW star Cody Rhodes to show up. There was a small nod to comment at the end of the night, but from the looks of it Seth - one of WWE's biggest names - still has no clear direction for the biggest show of the year. In the opening match, Damian Priest defeated Finn Balor in a non-title match just two weeks after the Prince won his United States Championship. The match was a lot of fun as the Archer of Infamy's win at WrestleMania 38 could potentially lead to a fight for the gold in just a few weeks. Austin Theory was ringside commentary, with Balor knocking him out with a great dropkick - although the former got revenge after the match. Weeks before the women's tag team titles go down, champion Carmella faced Liv Morgan in a fun match, with the latter taking the win. This was a great match with four very talented stars, although the Mysterios were in little danger of losing this - and they stood their ground even after a thwarted attempt at a sneak attack by their rivals. Edge released new entrance music for the first time in almost two decades as he delivered another fantastic promo aimed at his WrestleMania opponent, AJ Styles. The new presentation for the Rated R Superstar was spectacular, and changing the music is a bold move that should pay dividends when it comes to getting booed by fans. In the end, WWE's EST won, and their WrestleMania rival Becky Lynch attacked out of nowhere, brutally assaulting her challenger a week after she was hospitalized with a fractured vocal tract. Randy Orton through a somewhat low-key party for himself and Riddle after winning the Raw Tag Team Titles last week, leading to Street Profits clamoring for a title shot. In the end, Riddle took on Montez Ford in singles, and after some incredible action, we ended up with a disqualification as Alpha Academy attacked everyone. This should lead to a triple threat match at WrestleMania for the gold, and the fans will be the real winners there.

Winners, grades, reactions and highlights from March 21st

Welcome to the Bleacher Report coverage and recap of WWE Raw on March 21st. We're officially less than two weeks away from WrestleMania 38, so all is on deck for final preparations for the biggest event on the WWE calendar... (Author: Gardener)

March 21stWe're officially less than two weeks away from WrestleMania 38, so all hands are on deck for the final preparations for the biggest event on the WWE calendar. Becky Lynch opened up about her brutal attack on Bianca Belair from last week's show, and AJ Styles addressed his feud with Edge. We also saw Austin Theory take on Finn Balor and RK-Bro take on Alpha Academy before the two teams entered the ring with The Street Profits with the Raw Tag Titles at WrestleMania. Let's take a look at everything that happened on Monday's show. Stone Cold Steve Austin's music was a hit when the show went live, but it was Kevin Owens who came out in an Austin shirt with a bald cap on his head to sell the look. He delivered a promo like he was Stone Cold, using all of Austin's popular catchphrases. Austin's music hit again and KO pretended to be scared, but then he revealed it was just another ruse. He ended up giving one of the ring technicians a stunner after asking him to bring a beer into the ring. Owens is always entertaining when he gets his hands on a mic, but this was one of his most entertaining promos in years. He's obviously having a lot of fun with this angle and it shows in his performance. As serious as we can all be about pro wrestling, at the end of the day, it's supposed to be fun. That was fun from start to finish. Rey and Dominik Mysterio faced Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode in the first match of the night. With both teams spending some time in NXT 2.0 recently, this feud could spill over into Tuesday's show. The Miz joined the commentary team to watch the action ahead of him and Logan Paul taking on the Mysterios at WrestleMania in two weeks time. After about two minutes of action, Seth Rollins burst from the stage to claim a spot at WrestleMania. His microphone was eventually cut off as the show went on hiatus. The game went on as usual after the commercial. Both teams had some good spots, but we didn't see anything that stood out. Dom and Rey won when the younger Mysterio hit Roode with a frog splash for the pin. The Miz attacked Rey after the match and exposed him ringside. Rey covered his face while Dom tried to call for help. Unmasking a luchador would normally feel like a big deal, but over the years so many people have tried to take Rey's mask that it doesn't hold the same weight as it once did. If Ziggler brings the NXT title to Raw regularly, it might actually have a positive impact on NXT 2.0, but it would have to be regular. Usually the microphone either works or it doesn't. Rollins' mic fade in and fade out was a bit odd. It almost looked like they were having real technical issues rather than someone making the decision to turn it off backstage. Rey and Dom wearing black and gold almost feels like a nod to the old NXT, but it's probably just a fashion choice. After managing to defeat Commander Azeez last week, WWE booked Omos to face Azeez and Apollo Crews in a handicap match. By the time they got back in the ring and the match officially started, Omos seemed to have regained his composure. After quickly knocking Crews down, he lifted Azeez for an impressive body slam. This was another dominant display for Omos, but it could have been so much more. When Omos and Azeez first stared a few weeks ago, there was a real sense of intrigue. Rather than escalating into a major confrontation at a PPV, WWE immediately booked Omos to crush him twice. It was one of the few times that WWE has rushed ahead of the game rather than dragging it out a little longer than necessary. Omos, slamming through Azeez with ease, was an impressive feat.

WWE- WWE RAW opens live tonight on USA Network at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin's music plays as the glass shatters and the crowd goes wild. Fans quickly start booing when Kevin Owens comes out dressed as Stone Cold, skull cap and all. Owens takes the microphone and the crowd is furious. He does his best impersonation of Austin and asks if we're ready to see Owens pop a can of whoop-ace at Stone Cold at WrestleMania 38. Owens continues to taunt Austin until a loud "We want Austin!" chant erupts. Owens says the crowd must be the dumbest sons of bitches he's ever seen... the glass breaks again and Owens prepares for a fight as Stone Cold's music starts up again. Owens drops his fists and starts laughing. Owens says the crowds are absolute jerks and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so! Owens says Stone Cold needs some liquid courage to get to WrestleMania, so he calls for a few beers. The music resumes and Owens is thrown a few beers, but it's a poor try. Owens picks up the mic again and demands that the music be cut. He insults the ringside crewman and then tells him to grab a beer and bring it in the ring. The crewmate brings in the beer and turns to leave, but Owens drops him with a Stone Cold Stunner. Owens then opens the beers and gives the guy a beer bath as the fans continue to boo. Owens then steps on the guy and poses in the corner to continue his best Stone Cold impersonation. - We see what happened between Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens last week and how Rollins faced Owens with his WrestleMania 38 talk show segment and a guest on the line, but Rollins fell short. Kevin Patrick is now backstage with Rollins asking about his current state of mind as he faces the fact that he's not going to WrestleMania. Rollins just laughs at Patrick and grabs the mic. Rollins says he'll borrow the mic. We go back to the ring and out comes Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. Rey jumps on Dominik's back and they go to the ring. Back from the break we see what happened last week when The Miz Logan saved Paul from a double 619 by The Mysterios. We go back to the ring and out comes The Dirty Dawgs - WWE NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. The music comes and out comes The Miz with them. Miz joins the commentators while Roode and Ziggler get ready. Ziggler starts with Dominik and they get going. Dominik with a deep arm drag and another from the corner to send Ziggler down. Dominik walks out behind Ziggler, but Ziggler pushes him back-first to the edge of the apron. Ziggler brings Dominik back for a double team as Roode comes in but Rey saves. Ziggler attacks Rey, but Rey eventually sends him down. Dominik and Roode are now arguing. Dominik dropkicks Roode out of the ring and onto the floor. In the end, the Mysterios fly, bringing Roode and Ziggler back to the ground. The music stops and out comes Seth Rollins. He wants a spot at WrestleMania 38 and he's going to get it because he's Seth Freakin' Rollins. Rollins has problems with the microphone. He wants a WrestleMania spot that will live on forever. He tried to win over WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin last week, but now he wants to go bigger. Rollins fumes at officers who mute his mic as we return to commercials. Back off the break and Ziggler has Rey on lead for a superplex but Rey resists. Rey headbutts Ziggler to the mat and then kicks Roode off the apron. Ziggler catches a kick, but Rey nails an Enziguri to drop it. Roode comes in and runs over to push Dominik off the apron. Rey counters Roode with a big Tornado DDT in the middle of the ring. Dominik comes in from above with a crossbody. Roode struggles but Dominik drops him and then throws himself off the apron over the top rope. Dominik maintains control until Ziggler stops the pin attempt. Dominik shuts down Ziggler. Roode hits Dominik with a spinebuster for 2. Dominik blocks the Glorious DDT and rolls Roode for 2. Dominik goes for 619 and he hits. Dominik goes up to the Frogsplash on Roode to win the pin. – After the match, Dominik stands upright with his arm raised, but Ziggler superkicks him out of nowhere. Ziggler pulls back and Rey is now chasing him around the ring. Miz jumps out of his chair and knocks Rey to the ground, then drops him to the ground with a skull crushing finale. Miz rips off Rey's mask and lifts her in the air to boo. Miz grabs a Mysterio fan tag and rips it up while taunting the Mysterios with Rey's mask. Dominik is in the ring with his dad, who has a towel over his head. – Seth Rollins is now backstage with Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce. Rollins laughs and walks away. - Another look at Brock Lesnar following The Bloodline with a forklift on SmackDown. – Back from the break and we see what just happened with Rey Mysterio. The Miz is now backstage with Rey's mask on. Kevin Patrick asks him why he did this to Rey. Miz goes on to share how Logan watched Paul Rey as a kid and wanted nothing but his own Rey mask. But Logan has met Rey and his son Dominik and they are not what he thought they were as a kid. Miz goes on to say that they will humiliate the Mysterios at WrestleMania. He also says that he took Rey's mask for Paul and will give it to him after steam cleaning it. Miz tells Logan to wear Rey's mask on RAW next week. Lesnar and Reigns will both be on RAW next week. We go back to the ring and out comes Omos for a handicap match. He climbs the top rope and poses in the center of the ring as we return to the commercial. Back from break we get a video pack sponsored by Xfinity on Omos. Omos now waits in the ring as Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez head to the ring. Azeez deflects off the floor and apron and lets Crews dropkick back into play. They keep that angle on Omos until Crews throws him to the ground where he brawls with Azeez. Omos keeps fighting and now deals with crews. Azeez hits Omos from behind and sends him into the ring post to save Crews. Omos fights back by pushing Crews away. Now the bell is ringing as Omos is easily dropping crews. Omos wants Azeez and he comes in. Omos dodges an attack and then picks up Azeez with one arm, holds him there and then punches him. Crews jumps off the middle rope, but Omos catches him, hits him over his head and rams him. Omos now equalizes Azeez with a big boot. Omos lifts Crews to his feet and taunts him with a fallen Azeez, saying it's his fault. Omos now slams Crews with the Big Choke Bomb. Omos pulls Crews onto Azeez and pins them both at the same time. – After the game, Omos stands upright while the music plays and we go to the replays. Omos takes the mic and says it doesn't matter how big or how strong they are, he's undefeated and unstoppable. Omos says if someone has the balls to take on him at RAW or WrestleMania, they will all be dominated. Omos looks straight at the camera and then at the WrestleMania 38 sign as his music resumes. - We're getting a video looking back at WWE Hall of Famer Edge's in-ring promo on last week's show. - We go back to the ring and out comes AJ Styles while Mike Rome does the introduction. AJ will next address WWE Hall of Famer Edge after the commercial break.

The Chase fans "fix" the show as Shaun Wallace beats the team to a whopping jackpot

The Chase team were hit out of a £27,000 jackpot on Monday when Shaun Wallace caught the contestants in a blistering finale, but fans dubbed the Chaser's questions "simple". (Author: Gardener)

Shaun WallaceThe Chase team was beaten to a £27,000 jackpot on Monday when Shaun Wallace caught the contestants in a blistering finale, but fans dubbed the Chaser's questions "simple". Beat a team of three remaining entrants for an amazing £27,000 jackpot. Remaining contestants Kyle, 31, Laura, 23, and Mark, 50, took on the Dark Destroyer after teammate Eileen, 64, failed to make the finals. The trio amassed a total of 21 correct questions to bag their £27,000 cash but were then caught by 61-year-old Chaser in seconds after a blistering round of Shaun correctly answering 17 questions in a row. Presenter Bradley Walsh commiserated with the team at the end of the show, saying: "Caught with four seconds left. I have to take away the £27,000 and tell you that you got caught and The Chase is over." Shaun also congratulated them on their performance but wasn't entirely magnanimous about the win, saying: "They played very, very well but I was great there.” The remaining contestants Kyle, 31, Laura, 23, Mark, 50 competed against the Dark Destroyer. I have to say it's an achievement. They would all take money home, but they didn't." But when the show ended, several The Chase viewers took to Twitter to call Chaser Shaun's questions "easy" and called the show a "fix." . One said, "Absolutely blown away how easy the questions were for him," while another wrote, "You gave Shaun the 'Junior Chase' questions!" Host Bradley Walsh expressed his sympathy for the team at the end of the show. Another fan added, "These questions were comparatively easy," but not all agreed, with one fan writing, "Before anyone claims 'fix' - just keep in mind that the team's final question was about antihistamines, the histamine." counteract." Other ITV viewers congratulated Shaun on his impressive performance, with one writing: "Crikey Shaun was on fire," and another adding: "21 must be a record chasing for Shaun." The trio amassed a total of 21 correct questions, to pocket his £27,000. This comes as Beat The Chasers added a new chaser to the show in the form of Issa "The Supernerd" Schultz - how Anne "The Governess" Hegerty was forced to leave the series. Brain Box, 38, is one of the main chasers on the Australian version of The Chase and UK viewers will get to know him now that he has joined the cast of the main show on Beat The Chasers. The Aussie is an eight-time winner of the Australian Quizzing Championships and has even had the jump of winning big cash prizes on other shows including The Rich List and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Issa was greeted on the podium by chasers Mark "The Beast" Labbett, Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan, Paul "The Sinnerman" Sinha, Darragh "The Menace" Ennis, and Shaun "The Dark Destroyer" Wallace. Shaun also congratulated them on their efforts but wasn't entirely magnanimous about the win. Taking to social media to congratulate Issa on his new role, Shaun wrote: "The Super Nerd was just awesome! Your knowledge is sensational and you made me feel at home. I look forward to next time.” Anne herself took to social media to explain that she would unfortunately be absent from the series as she has contracted Covid-19. She wrote: "The amazing Issa will fill in for me and I look forward to watching the series when it airs later this year. I feel good but I'm still positive!

Patrol cars equipped with cameras help police spot stolen vehicles

Toronto police fight auto theft with cameras equipped cars looking for stolen license plates (Author: Gardener)

TorontoThey now use cars that look a lot like regular police cruisers, except the vehicles come with rooftop cameras instead of flashing lights. The cars, driven by parking lot attendants, roam the city's streets with infrared cameras to take photos of every vehicle they come across, with the goal of finding license plates that have been reported stolen. During the same period, there were 919 vehicle thefts last year, 933 in 2020, and 876 in 2019. Tips from the Toronto Police Department for protecting your vehicle include parking in well-lit areas, locking any valuables in the trunk, and storing yours Vehicle in a locked garage when you are home if possible. Councilor Mike Colle in December urged the province to set up its own police force to curb auto theft. Colle cited statistics from the Insurance Bureau of Canada that showed Ontario auto theft claims rose 55% between 2016 and 2020. There has been some recent success, with a multi-jurisdictional bust resulting in the recovery of 200 stolen vehicles and the arrest of 24 people in GTA and Montréal. And on February 1, "Project Taurus," an eight-month investigation, led to seven arrests of people allegedly belonging to a "somewhat sophisticated" group responsible for at least 28 high-end carjackings in Toronto. Toronto Police say the most commonly stolen vehicles are Honda CR-Vs, Lexus RX 350s and Honda Civics. We apologize, but this video could not be loaded. Everton are yearning for hungry years with a trophy drought stretching into their 28th year after their weak FA Cup exit

The last time Everton tried cutlery was the FA Cup in 1995; Sunday's quarter-final loss to Crystal Palace means it will be 28 years without a trophy; Alan Myers writes that the club managed to reverse the situation under majority shareholder Farhad Moshri (Author: Gardener)

EvertonOne particular line - 'All we wanted was all we had' - will no doubt hint at how some Evertonians are feeling right now and how some might miss those hungry years ahead of their billionaire owner's arrival. The club hadn't had a super-rich benefactor and hadn't won a trophy for over two decades, which wasn't good enough for Everton and naturally the fans wanted more. They were demanding a new owner, one with big bucks and one who could return the club firmly to the top of the English game. Before that, however, the club had a passion, a commitment, a determination to challenge those at the top and, above all, an identity, particularly under the exacting, albeit without silverware, leadership of David Moyes. Say the names Weir, Coleman, Carsley, Cahill, Jagielka, Hibbert, Neville and Howard and you can argue that all of these players had those qualities, all wanted what was best for the club and all gave 100 per cent in every game that they played whether their individual talent was enough or not compared to their sometimes wealthier opponents. Visiting Finch Farm you knew how to behave but you also knew there would be an identity which was Everton Football Club specifically, there was a discipline surrounding the place but there was also a welcome and a chat or two. Since the Moshiri fortunes, Everton have somehow managed to backtrack, like the lottery winner running straight to the Whirlpool shop, who chose extravagance over substance and exuberance over substance. Gone are the characters of the team and club, gone are the qualities of the successful winners of the 1980s and those before them, replaced by many who saw an opportunity for financial fortune, a leisure center rather than a training ground and a ladder to a future career somewhere better in the game on or off the soccer field. The hard fact is that many could say, many warned, that this is not the way to do business, this was not the look of a successful football club on the way up, in fact it soon started to spiral out of control leading to Consequence of where the club is today due to poor recruitment of players and managers. For the fans, to continue with the musical theme, Everton is their "Hotel California", they can check in at any time but they can never leave, unlike the many, not all, but many who have, and not only taking away most of the wealth invested, but also the standards that prevailed prior to their arrival. Everton are in a dangerous position, they need to rediscover an identity and rebuild a club to match on the way to the brand new stadium and use the wealth more intelligently, they need to get the hunger back. In Frank Lampard you could argue that they have a manager that encompasses good values, he is of good quality both personally and football-wise, he has a hunger, of course like any manager he needs results but he represents an opportunity, again to set up, as in the early Moyes years, but with the facilities and surroundings to supply silverware. This weekend he called these players, he asked if they had the struggle to complete the challenge ahead, he acknowledged that some were only playing at 70 percent of their ability, that's not going to be good enough if you looking at the games for April. Many have eaten from a king's table over the last six years, indulged at the expense of the true values and hopes of fans and the club, all while leading Everton down a path that could be longer and darker than anyone dares to imagine. Those who can effect change, the players, the owner and the board must do so now to avoid a future that nobody envisioned in 2014. The fans always have and will always do their part, their hunger is undeniable, it's not for them to do it, but they will suffer the most. The majority of Evertoners wanted the bright and prosperous future they craved when Moshiri arrived - and they could still have it - but for now all they have is how they miss The Hungry Years.
