Borussia DortmundDGAP-News: Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA / Key word(s): Case Bundesliga soccer club Borussia Dortmund will issue the restrictions associated with the current Corona Protection Ordinance on the access of spectators to outdoor sporting events in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, in urgent proceedings checked. Borussia Dortmund is expected to apply to the Münster Higher Administrative Court for a temporary injunction in the norm control procedure in the course of tomorrow. Borussia Dortmund considers the current restrictions to be illegal. While indoor events can already be held nationwide with high capacity utilization (in some cases almost full capacity) despite the comparatively higher risk of infection, the capacity of Germany's largest open-air stadium - the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK - is currently limited to a capacity utilization of only 0.92 percent of total capacity (81,365 viewers). To this day, Borussia Dortmund hopes to find amicable and measured solutions in dialogue with the state government, as are now being made possible in other federal states such as Saxony-Anhalt, Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. However, it is our job to safeguard Borussia Dortmund's legitimate business interests. "Borussia Dortmund, in whose stadium 16,000 people have been vaccinated in recent months, has a proven (hygiene) concept for games with spectators. The Bundesliga club in particular also considers the political arguments frequently put forward regarding the risk of infection on arrival and departure routes to be unfounded: evaluations towards the end of last year clearly showed that the stadium was 18 percent occupied (15,000 spectators) and the majority of the spectators had arrived with your own car (10,000 parking spaces are available), by bicycle or on foot, also for reasons of caution Extreme peak loads in public transport, as is usual several times a day on every single working day in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and which is accepted by the state government thus be avoided, which expressly corresponds to the findings of the Dortmunder Verkehrsbetriebe DSW21. 01/31/2022 Release of a Corporate News/Financial News, transmitted by DGAP - a service of EQS Group AG. The Sunderland MP welcomes the decision to drop plans to change the boundaries for the Seaburn Metro

Sunderland Central MP Julie Elliott and various campaigners raised their concerns about Nexus and the proposed plans were officially withdrawn (Author: Gardener)

Sunderland Central MP Julie Elliott sought to intervene quickly when Nexus proposed a boundary change for Seaburn tube station that would have resulted in a rise in ticket prices for ordinary users. The transport provider's proposal would have resulted in Seaburn moving to Zone C of the tube system - meaning that while it would be cheaper to travel to Sunderland, it would be marginally more expensive to travel to Newcastle upon Tyne. Seaburn tube station currently borders zones B and C, while central Newcastle is classified as zone A. So a day pass from Seaburn to Newcastle costs travelers £4.40. However, if Seaburn were only moved to Zone C, the fee would rise to £5.40. The price hike prompted MP Elliott to act quickly and intervene in the allegations that would affect her constituents traveling north of the Tyne. Speaking to Chronicle Live, Sunderland Central MP Julie Elliott said: "The changes that would have been made would have been unacceptable, there is no reason for people using the Seaburn Metro to be paying higher fares than they are now." She added: "In my opinion, they need to come back with proposals that are cost neutral to my constituents - which will likely mean rebalancing the borders within a range or something." "But that's where we have to get, to the borders, we have to." be refocused, but not at the expense of my constituents – because this is a very busy tube station.” Nexus Customer Service Manager Huw Lewis also added: “We want to introduce cheaper smart tickets that locals use be able to travel on all public transport in Sunderland and beyond, like the London Oyster card." "Part of that would mean that the Fare zones on the bus and subway will align in the future and that is why we had proposed changing the boundaries of the subway zones.” Julie Elliott, the local MP, stressed the impact this would have on the people of Seaburn, and as a result we have agreed not to move forward with the change so that we can review our plans for smart ticketing to ensure everyone in the communities where we operate benefits. And while Rep. Elliott spoke of the benefits that a proposed border alignment would have for local commuters in the area, she refused to see her constituents suffer financially if Seaburn Station saw a rate hike. MP Elliott said: "I agree with what they are trying to do to align the boundaries between buses and the tube - so we can have a system similar to the Oyster card, but moving the boundary there was unacceptable." Malcolm Bond, a Lib Dem campaigner for Fulwell and Seaburn, said: "It is welcome to pause the decision to change the fare zone boundary at Seaburn Station." to travel. “Moving the zoning boundary would be a real kick in the teeth for the Fulwell and Seaburn people who have endured terrible service, regular delays and cancellations, and months when we didn't have a working elevator at the station. The proposed plans were withdrawn from consideration by Nexus on January 7 - but councilors on the North East Combined Authority's Transport Committee agreed to increase metro ticket prices from April 2022 during their January 14 meeting. The changes to Metro fares from April mean : * Paper single ticket prices will go up by 20p - that's £2.30 for a one-zone ticket, £3.20 for a two-zone ticket and £3.20 for a single ticket for all zones £3.90 £3.60 for one zone, £4.70 for two zones and £5.70 for three zones.* The weekly Metro single zone pass has gone from £11.50 to £11.80 which Two-zone weekly pass from £17.20 to £17.60 An all-zone weekly is up from £23.30 to £24 * The four-week single-zone magazine Metro season pass is from £40.70 up to £41.90; the dual zones from £59.80 to £61.50; all zones from £79.10 to £81.30 * Single zone Metro annual pass price increases from £450 to £462.50; the two-zone annual is up from £628.50 to £646; The All-Zone is up from £695 to £715. * The Metro Gold Card, which gives pensioners and people with disabilities unlimited off-peak travel on the Metro, remains priced frozen at £12 - or £24 for those not living in Tyne and Wear. A single Shields ferry ticket will rise from £1.90 to £2.10 and a day ferry ticket will rise from £3.10 to £3.40, although prices for those with a PAYG card have been frozen again. EndrickEndrick has admitted Cristiano Ronaldo is his idol, with a €45m prodigy calling the Manchester United striker a 'phenomenon', while also addressing Real Madrid's alleged interest in him and his comparability to Kylian Mbappe . Endrick is currently making a name for himself in his native Brazil with Palmeiras, having first joined the youth teams in 2016. The 15-year-old has reached new levels of fame after firing the Sao Paulo club to glory at last month's prestigious U20 Copinha tournament, with Madrid now reportedly leading the race to bring him to Europe. Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City have also been linked with Endrick, whose market value has already risen to reportedly €45m despite not signing his first professional contract yet. The teenager will be able to write senior times with potential suitors when he turns 16 in July and while he has yet to decide where his future lies, he has made it clear whose career path he would most like to emulate. "I have a lot of affection for Real because of Cristiano, though I've also been looking for things in your history and you are a very good team. Pochettino disappointed with Cup exit as PSG injury list piles up

PSG suffered their first defeat in the competition in over three years (Author: Gardener)

CupPSG coach Mauricio Pochettino was disappointed when his side lost to Nice on penalties in the Coupe de France on Monday night. The Parisians were chasing a third straight title in this competition but saw their 14-game winning streak in the Coupe de France come to an end. Loan PSG goalkeeper Marcin Bulka was the hero of Nice as he saved penalties from Leandro Paredes and Xavi Simons. The game ended in a 0-0 draw, despite Pochettino picking a full-strength team except for Kylian Mbappe, who played from the bench. It was the first time PSG had closed a gap in the tournament since losing 1-0 to Lille in the 2011 final. Pochettino told the official PSG website: "Obviously we are very disappointed to lose on penalties. I think we were the better team overall, but it wasn't enough to win. Penalties are always a lottery and tonight it wasn't our night. “Sum up the Coupe de France campaign? It's not easy because there were a lot of good things. We are very disappointed tonight. Now we have to try to stay positive, even if it's not easy. But on Wednesday we will start to prepare the next game and be as good as possible.” Left-back Nuno Mendes echoed his coach's sentiments, saying: “It was a positive game from our side. Unfortunately we didn't make it to the next round, but we have to keep working. I did what I had to do to help the team the best I could. But unfortunately it wasn't enough to win. So now we will continue to work and give our all in the next game. I think it's a good initiative to have all supporters again from the next game. It's really helping the team and that's what we need.” With a calf injury, the 35-year-old will miss the Champions League round of 16 match against Real Madrid on February 15 at the Parc des Princes after suffering a calf injury last Thursday . PSG issued a statement ahead of Monday's Coupe de France penalty shoot-out loss to Lille following Ramos' latest rebound: "Sergio Ramos has to rest due to a minor muscle injury in his right calf that occurred on Thursday during training and will be re-evaluated mid-week." Brazilian winger Neymar and Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum are all injured and may not return in time for Real Madrid's first leg in mid-February.

Capitec wins Local PMO of the Year award, PSG comes second

As a winner of the local portion of the awards, Capitec now participates in the annual PMO Global Awards, conducted in partnership with the PMO Global Alliance. (Author: Gardener)

CapitecCapitec Bank's Project Management Office (PMO) has been announced as the overall winner of the 2021 South African PMO Awards. The South African retail banking firm beat three other semi-finalists to clinch the title, namely runners-up PSG along with Nedbank Insurance and Alexander Forbes. “South African PMOs do more than compete with their global peers, as evidenced by the success of local participants in the PMO Global Awards over time, and Capitec is an exceptional example of South African excellence,” said Guy Jelley, CEO and co-founder of the project portfolio office. In her first year as chair of the South African PMO Awards judging committee, Dalene Grobler notes that the quality of submissions from 2021 entrants has been exceptional, reflecting Jelley's upbeat mood. “Our local PMOs continue to grow and evolve each year, and our judges have confirmed that the 2021 participants have proven to be innovative, mature and bring great value to their organizations as centers of excellence. “The jury found that our South African PMOs are not only competitive, but at the same time incredibly willing to share knowledge and experience with one another to build a stronger community that recognizes the achievements of others. In turn, the applicants for the award benefited from the learning experience that the submission process offered and benefited from direct access to a level of expertise and practical advice not easily found on a normal working day.” As a winner of the local portion of the awards Capitec now participates in the annual PMO Global Awards, conducted in partnership with the PMO Global Alliance (PMOGA), the largest global community of PMOs and PMO professionals, with active members in more than 100 countries. Since its inception in 2006, the Capitec PMO has seen numerous changes, both within and across the organization, each time changing in response to organizational needs, explains Jacqui Richardson, Head of Enterprise Portfolio, Project Office and Agile Practice Office from Capitec that this year was the perfect time for the bank to enter their PMO for the procurement process. We have gone through a major structural change and recently formed autonomous product teams that will bring project and portfolio managers into the product lines. This is a major structural change for the PMO as we essentially put governance in the hands of our clients while providing best practices as a center of excellence and knowledge hub, but it seemed like the right time to recognize where we started and celebrate how far we've come.” Capitec is also making a change in leadership structure within the PMO itself, with Adriaan Bakker taking the reins from Richardson, further underscoring the importance of the timing of the competition. “We wanted to use the PMO Awards as a learning experience and use the judges' feedback throughout the round,” adds Richardson. Bakker, who is now PMO Enterprise Portfolio Manager, says: “It's a natural stage for any company to reach a point of growth where it becomes important to build and support autonomy. “As such, our focus as a PMO is to support this movement towards autonomy, but at the same time create a framework that encourages transparency between the different areas of the company so that there is no overlap between departments where opportunities could present themselves to each other use instead of increasing efficiency. “The awards came at an ideal time for us as there is always uncertainty and questions with any change, and the onboarding process gave us the opportunity to connect and communicate with our team members, receive feedback from them and communicate with them to reflect on them.” he says. “We're in the business of change, so as a PMO we need to look at what our stakeholders need and take that into account. Therefore, the involvement of key stakeholders, from our CIO to risk managers, in the procurement information gathering phase was important and it was very encouraging to hear about the added value from their perspective.” Richardson agrees, adding, that despite the heavy workload of the PMO team, the process of submitting the award went smoothly and proved to be very valuable. We needed to stop and properly reflect on our journey and the impact we were having within the company. it was a great format to do this with. “We're still trying to process the fact that our PMO won the South African portion of the awards; It was an exceptionally positive, empowering experience.” “Another important reason we are very grateful for the recognition and award is that we were able to ask, 'Are we there yet?' The answer is no, and we are happy about it as it proves that our vision is still years ahead. Richardson's advice for local PMOs reluctant to attend the awards? We too were concerned, especially given the internal structural change, but Guy Jelley from the Project Portfolio Office gave us the right kind of encouragement by saying that we would learn from it and he was right. We've found that what's important here isn't necessarily the challenge of winning, but the value of participating. “Another real benefit of this process was the creation of a network outside of Capitec that encourages information sharing and understanding with other PMOs. Not only is our travel important to us, it's important to other local PMOs out there, and sharing knowledge is vital. “This is particularly important for our South African PMOs as it underscores that we are doing well and achieving success not just locally but on a global scale. PSG's PMO, which was named runner-up for South Africa's PMO of the Year, emerged only recently - just two years ago, in 2019. Zach Fuchs, Chief Project Officer of PSG's Group PMO, explains that the organization's MANCO a gap in the company related to project management and recognized the need to set up a central PMO for strategic operations. “It was of particular importance to get the portfolio management component right in terms of key practices and focus areas. "With a multi-year execution strategy, we've had an amazing journey so far and wanted to show the value the PMO has created within the organization over the past 18 months." The award process was a constructive exercise for the PMO team, says Fuchs. “The mentoring component of the awards was very valuable as it gave us access to a sounding board at that level and provided a great presence for team members while internally we grew closer than ever. “We are honored by the recognition and it has allowed us as the broader PMO team to recognize the hard work that has been accomplished over the past few years and to summarize our amazing achievements. We are very proud of the fundamental value that the PMO delivers and encourage other local PMOs to engage in this process. Jelley says: “We would like to offer our sincere congratulations to Capitec as our best South African PMO as well as PSG and our other semi-finalists. All the best to Capitec for the global awards next year – we look forward to taking South African PMOs even further onto the international stage.”

Why is Messi wearing number 10 for PSG against Nice? French jersey number tradition explained

Fans will see Lionel Messi wear the famous No.10 shirt again for Monday's game against Nice due to a French Cup rule (Author: Gardener)

FrenchParis Saint-Germain meet Nice in the French Cup round of 16 and you might be wondering why Lionel Messi didn't get the No. 30 shirt - and instead will wear his old iconic No. 10 shirt, which he preferred during his time for Barcelona. GOAL has everything you need to know about why Messi wears the shirt usually occupied by Neymar and more. Messi wears the No.10 for PSG against Nice due to a French Cup tradition that says the 11 starting players must wear numbers 1-11 in the round of 16. By the game, the No.10 was awarded to Messi. The Argentine currently wears the No. 30 shirt for PSG as Neymar occupies the No. 10. Neymar will not feature in the Nice game as he is currently recovering from a sprained left ankle and ligament damage sustained in a Ligue 1 game against Saint-Etienne in November. With Neymar not set to play Nice, the number 10 shirt has been temporarily released for Messi to only wear tonight in the French Cup clash. The fact that Messi is playing for the Blaugrana in the No.10 shirt only adds to the special nature of today's occasion. Assuming PSG advance to the next round of the French Cup and Neymar is fit again, it's understood that the Brazilian will get his No.10 shirt back - meaning Messi will have to borrow another shirt number again, at least temporarily, should both come in game before. PSG's #1 through #10 shirts are all taken, meaning Messi (assuming he plays in the next game) will have to swap shirt numbers again. Messi will forever be one of Barcelona's most legendary No10s, his legendary status at the club is synonymous with his shirt number. The Argentine started his first-team career with Barcelona and scored his first senior goal for the club, wearing the number 30, before switching to the number 19 after establishing himself as a regular in the side. Messi has spoken about the impact Ronaldinho has had on his career, particularly as he guided him through the transition to the senior squad. "He [Ronaldinho] was a big help," Messi told Barcelona's official website in 2013. “Before he left the club, [Ronaldinho] had a few months to think things over. Messi took the No. 30 shirt after signing for PSG as a tribute to the first shirt number he wore for Barcelona.

PSG are ready to offer Bernat a player-plus-cash deal for Dembele

Sportsmail reported on Sunday that the Ligue 1 leaders are keen on adding a French player to their cosmopolitan squad and are hoping a deal can be struck, with Barcelona keen on a sale. (Author: Gardener)

BernatParis Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to use full-back Juan Bernat as a replacement in a deal to sign disgraced winger Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona on deadline day. Sportsmail reported on Sunday that the Ligue 1 leaders are keen on adding a French player to their cosmopolitan squad and are hoping a deal can be struck, with Barcelona keen on a sale. The France international was expecting offers from the Premier League and his representatives held cautious talks with Manchester United and Chelsea but with no offers coming in, the door was left open for PSG. While Barcelona are keen to sign Dembele and PSG would like to take him on, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo have reported that the French side are ready to sign a player to lower the fee. Barcelona now want £18m for him but PSG are trying to lower the asking price for the 24-year-old. Bernat, 28, is a left-back and MD's report adds that the Spaniard is "liked" by Barcelona's coaching staff. Barcelona coach Xavi is looking to step up in a number of areas, one of which falls behind and remains a reported bargaining chip for PSG on deadline day. Sportsmail understand talks started with PSG offering a direct swap deal for Mauro Icardi on Sunday, although Barcelona prefer a sale. Mauricio Pochettino's side will feel empowered in the knowledge that Barcelona need to ditch Dembele's salary to ease their efforts to register other players, including Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is close to joining Barcelona on loan. Sportsmail understand Aubameyang's salary is the main issue to be resolved as the 32-year-old is ready to take a pay cut on his estimated £350,000-a-week salary he can be registered with the Catalans. Arsenal want Barcelona to cover as much of his salary as possible, which will help if Barca lose Dembele's £210,000-a-week salary.
