Richard Madeley easily finds out I'm a celebrity after working in a rat infested newsroom

An old friend of the 65-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter recalls his work at the East London Advertiser office, which was littered with mice and told him for his time on I'm A Celebrity ...! (Author: Gardener)

An old friend of the 65-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter recalls his work in the East London Advertiser office, which was littered with mice, which won him over for his appearance on I'm A Celebrity ... I have no problems with those Dealing with I'm A Celebrity rodents - because he's used to working with them. An old friend of his believes the 65-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter will do well at Gwrych Castle after revealing how mice riddled his former newsroom in London's East End. "It was so bad, we had an exterminator who came by regularly," says photographer Tony Bock, who worked with Richard, who was a reporter apprentice at the time, for two years when he cut his teeth at a local newspaper in the mid-1970s. The East London Advertiser office was right next to the canal, so there were mice everywhere. “But he still came to work in a three-piece suit. He always liked to look like this. ”Madeley presses reporter Christine Warway out of the good times they all spent together when he left in East London in 1976. Lyn says Richard - who revealed he landed an I’m A Celeb candidate last month - was bright and friendly with a wicked sense of humor. "He'll do just fine on I'm A Celebrity because he's great at making friends," she says. “He was always a buddy and was nice to everyone. “He was good at his job and was a lot of fun. He's a news junkie, like me, so he's going to miss that on the show. ”Tony doesn't think Richard will have any trouble dealing with arguments among the 12 participating celebrities. At work he was serious and determined, but he always retains a sense of humor. But an ability to handle rows might come in handy, as Tony assumes Richard is likely to shake things up with the roommates. "He was always a fun person to be around, but he loved teasing people," he recalls. Nobody can tell Richard what to do. ”Pub fun with coworkers at a local's in East London Lyn and Tony, who now live in Canada, say their buddy could be entertaining in other ways. In his East London days, he introduced himself as a guitarist and singer and hosted open mic nights in pubs - possibly inspired by a desk previously used by Steve Harley, who became famous with his band Cockney Rebel. Richard from Essex was born in Romford and began his journalistic career at the age of 16. He went to East London shortly thereafter, then switched to BBC Radio Carlisle before ending up with Granada TV in Manchester. After serving in various regional shows, he and Judy presented ITV's flagship show This Morning from 1988 to 2001 in front of their Richard and Judy Channel 4 chat show. Richard also hosted Have I Got News For You and appeared on Piers Morgans Life Stories. But Tony and Lyn believe his time in East London made him the man he is today. Richard, who was married twice, showed a fondness for women in his formative years. Lyn said, “He lived in a dreary rented room in Stratford. Richard always asked me and Tony how we got together and if I had any friends. Richard soon honed his dating technique and married at age 21 but divorced five years later. Lyn said, “A lot of people have told me different stories about him over the years, but I prefer to think about him as he was then - someone I am glad to have met and have wonderful memories of . A good buddy. "

MPs pay tribute to "outstanding minister" James Brokenshire

There was a minute's silence in the House of Commons following PMQs in memory of Old Bexley and Sidcup MPs. (Author: Gardener)

MPs across the political divide have paid tribute to the Conservative former Cabinet Secretary James Brokenshire, who died of lung cancer. Following PMQs, there was a minute's silence in the House of Commons to commemorate Old Bexley and Sidcup MP, who was described by former Prime Minister Theresa May as an “outstanding minister” and “true friend”. Observed by Mr Brokenshire's family in the gallery, Commons spokesman Sir Lindsay Hoyle said: “James was a politician who demanded affection and respect from his colleagues, whatever party they represented in his 16-year parliamentary career. In recognition of the former Northern Irish Secretary and Secretary of Security, he added, “I will always remember James for his positivity, good sense of humor and for being one of the kindest, most thoughtful and beloved in the House of Commons. Prime Minister Boris Johnson described James Brokenshire as "steadfast, serious, sincere" and a "gentlemanly politician". He said: “The many honors James have received are a testament to the affection, respect and appreciation with which he is remembered and his ability as an able and effective politician to serve his country under three Prime Ministers in some of the most sensitive and demanding positions in government. "He added," It was James' diligence, composure and experience as a lawyer, well versed in the art of negotiating last minute deals, that proved so valuable to the government to have. “He has held five ministerial posts, including two in the Cabinet as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland and for Housing, Towns and Local Government, and each of them was full of traps for inattention and error. He said, “We can only imagine how much more good he would have done had he had the chance. “James was in the prime of his life and still had much to offer his country, and it was the cruelest fate of all that he, a non-smoker, should be struck by lung cancer. Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer, looking at Mr Brokenshire's family in the side gallery, said: “We send our condolences and, if I may say so, you should be very proud of your husband and father. Sir Keir said Mr. Brokenshire was "a friend of many of us" in the House of Commons. Ms. May said the government and the country were poorer with the loss of James Brokenshire, adding that it was an "enormous privilege" to work with Mr. Brokenshire in government. She described him as hardworking and hardworking, "a loving family man" and also "great fun". She said, “James was a remarkable man. He was an excellent minister, a great constituency delegate, and a true friend. “As minister he was eager to deal with the briefs ... he was thoughtful in his consideration of the issues and careful in his decision-making. “That is what you want a government minister to be. He gave his time and effort because he understood the importance of his choices. Ms. May added: “He has done a dedicated public service to this country. The government is the poorer of his loss. This Parliament is the poorer of its loss. And our country is poorer at its loss. ”SNP Westminster boss Ian Blackford said James Brokenshire was“ a young man who clearly has so much more to give ”and a“ committed minister ”. Mr Blackford said, "I think we all in this house watched with profound admiration and awe as he was shown bravely as he valiantly battled cancer which unfortunately ultimately cost his life." He said that Mr Brokenshire " remained in very good relations with all parties during his time as Foreign Minister. A man's mark and our memory of him will be a dedicated minister, a loyal friend, and a dedicated father. James fought his cancer to the last.

Full-backs, overlapping center-backs and increased work rate at Everton

Tottenham drew 0-0 in Antonio Contes' first Premier League game on Sunday. Their performance showed a familiar lack of innovation, but it also showed early signs of the impact of the former Chelsea and Inter Milan managers (Author: Gardener)

Tottenham were held to a goalless draw by Everton in Antonio Conte's first ever Premier League game responsible for the club, but the Italian has an immediate impact on the way they play. Sunday's stalemate resulted in three Premier League games without a win for Spurs and two in a row in which they failed to score after losing 3-0 to Manchester United. Their bad start to the season under Nuno Espirito Santo left them ground to catch up in the top four races and Conte said last week it would "take time" to change their luck. But the former Chelsea coach, who oversaw a chaotic 3-2 win against Europa Conference League opponents Vitesse in his first game at the helm last week, has at least shown how he tries to draw the team at Goodison to put his stamp on Park. Conte has wasted no time changing Tottenham's form, ditching Nuno's 4-2-3-1 formation and switching to the 3-4-3 system that has given him so much success in the past. Conte is known for adding significant offensive power to his full-backs, from Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses at Chelsea to Achraf Hakimi and Ivan Perisic at Inter Milan, and he's now doing the same with Sergio Reguilon and Emerson Royal at Spurs. Their marauding runs forward failed to score goals against Everton, but Reguilon and Emerson certainly posed problems for Rafael Benitez's side, positioning themselves high and wide on the flanks when Spurs were in possession to keep the game going. "When you think of full-backs, your job is to play a 4-4-2 like Everton's," former Liverpool, Aston Villa and Leeds full-back Stephen Warnock told Sky Sports News. Conte uses the approach partly to pull opposing wingers backwards - "The reason is that they can't launch attacks against you," added Warnock - and partly to take advantage of the space behind in the attacking third. Against Everton, this space was created by Conte's use of a narrow front threesome. The presence of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura in key positions ensured that Everton full-backs Seamus Coleman and Lucas Digne were drawn into the field to help out their center-backs. "What you have in the middle of the field is your three strikers who take care of four players in that area," added Warnock. While one full-back has room to deliver the flank, the other arrives at the back post to try to reach the end. An example of this came in the first half at Goodison Park when Reguilon's low cross hit the onrushing Emerson against Demarai Gray. "It's a perfect scenario for the full-back because you can imagine playing against a winger," said Warnock. The Brazilian was unable to point his header on goal on the occasion but Conte's hope is that Spurs will capitalize on them going forward. Conte asked his center-backs to play an offensive against Everton as well as his full-backs. The concept of overlapping center-backs isn't new to the Premier League - Chris Wilder used it successfully after Sheffield United rose in 2019 - but it was a first for Spurs. While Eric Dier held his position in the middle of Conte's back three, left and right center-backs Ben Davies and Cristian Romero were encouraged to take possession of the ball. A natural full-back, Davies was particularly adventurous to support Reguilon on Tottenham's left. "He doesn't have to lag behind, he can attack," said Warnock. Sometimes Davies would charge forward without even touching the ball, instead making bait runs intended to make room for others. By licensing Davies and Romero to push forward in this fashion, Conte had yet another means of destabilizing Everton's defensive form and outnumbering Spurs. "There's congestion all over the place and that's what he's trying to do," said Warnock. Conte's influence at Goodison Park was also seen in Tottenham's increased off-ball intensity and rate of defensive work. The 52-year-old is known to challenge his players - "he loves to train hard," Reguilon told newspaper reporters after the game on Sunday - and attaches great importance to physical preparation. Against Everton, Spurs had the highest totals for both distance traveled (110.9 km) and high-intensity sprints (151) in any game this season, according to Premier League tracking data this season. In fact, the Spurs ran over 10 kilometers further against Everton than in Nuno's last game against Manchester United. They ran over seven kilometers further than in all Premier League games of the former Wolves manager. Their total of 151 sprints, meanwhile, was the second highest of any Premier League club in the final round of the game, only behind Marcelo Bielsa's famous hard-working Leeds. The numbers represent a dramatic change in Tottenham's off-ball efforts and prove that the players are responding to Conte's demands. Despite all the encouraging signs, however, Tottenham's performance against Everton also underscored the challenge for Conte to restore the team's creativity and scoring danger. Under Nuno, no Premier League team attempted fewer shots than Spurs, while only Norwich scored fewer goals. In terms of expected goals, which measure the quality of the chances created, only Norwich and fellow campaigners Watford and Newcastle did worse. Conte's system caused Everton trouble at Goodison Park, but there was no obvious improvement from Spurs on their edge in the final third. Her failure to test Jordan Pickford brought her 225 minutes without a shot in the Premier League. Her expected goal total of just 0.68 was actually the third lowest in a Premier League game this season. Harry Kane, who has been so productive over the past few seasons, continues to look unconfident after a summer of speculation about his future, with just one goal in 10 Premier League games. As Conte pointed out in his post-game press conference, Spurs came in promising positions but wasted them too often. "If I have to see one negative aspect of this game, I think we made a lot of mistakes on the forward pass," he said. Conte will have to change that if he is to get the improvement Spurs fans have been craving for, but other elements of Sunday's performance suggest he's already making his mark. "Given that this was a week after he reigned," added Warnock, "there have been very positive signs."

Get to know the man behind Gerrard's success

Michael Beale has made a huge impact as the Rangers first-team coach and will hope to continue to do so after following Steven Gerrard to Aston Villa. (Author: Gardener)

"A lot of people will have no idea what Michael Beale is doing on the training ground, but what he does is really something very special." Steven Gerrard was featured as the new manager of the Ibrox squad in front of thousands, all of whom had been desperately waiting for him to revive the fortunes of a club that at the time could not even call itself the second best in the country. A month later, the former English captain confirmed his coaching staff. Former Liverpool midfielder and former Scotland captain Gary McAllister was a well-known appointment as assistant, but the arrival of first-team manager Michael Beale may have gone under the radar. Both men followed Gerrard to Aston Villa this week following his appointment as their manager. Outside of Ibrox, there is still an element of the unknown in the 40-year-old Beale's work. But there is a strong argument that he turned out to be Gerrard's best addition to the Rangers, and the former English captain hopes that can be said of their time together at Villa Park too. So how did the ex-Chelsea, Liverpool and Sao Paulo coach come to be such an important figure alongside Gerrard and how did he have such a huge impact on the Rangers? As a child, Beale played on the streets of a council estate in south London and dreamed of making it in professional sports. This was followed by attempts in his home country, the USA and the Netherlands, where he got to know a new way of playing, before taking an unconventional path to becoming a coach six months later. With leftover funds from his playing days, Beale decided to invest in the Brazilian Football Schools franchise, which aims to teach young children the art of futsal. Think of it as Brazil's answer to five-a-side football, but played with a smaller, low-bounce ball for tight control and technical skills. Beale led the program in a church hall in Bromley, and while the business didn't start off too well, it sparked his love and passion for grassroots youth development before moving on to a role at Chelsea. "Your personality is so important," he told Coaches Voice. "If small children get out of their mother or father's car and run to training, if they don't have the same energy as you after 15 minutes, then that's wrong. It's the same for a professional footballer." A 10-year stint at Chelsea began on a part-time basis in 2003 before ending up as a full-time youth coach after spending some time working under Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and Guus Hiddink while developing players like Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham. This led to a move to Liverpool, where Beale oversaw the U16s before moving up to the U23s in 2014. Beale's fascination with foreign football stems from an obsession with Serie A and Football Italia in the 1990s, as well as Johan Cruyff - "the most important man in football history". Not only because of his success and personality, but also because of his willingness to train abroad in Eindhoven, Lisbon and Barcelona. In light of this, Beal's decision to become an assistant at Sao Paulo - a club he calls "Manchester United or Liverpool of South America" - in 2017 was too good to refuse. During an eight-month stint in Brazil, he developed his coaching "by 50%" under Rogerio Ceni - the most goalscoring goalkeeper in football with 131 goals - and worked with players like center-back Eder Militao, who joined Real Madrid from Porto in 2019 Worth more than £ 40 million. A brief return to Liverpool followed - at a time when Gerrard was the U18 coach - before the Rangers joined the Anfield icon a year later. "One morning he [Gerrard] called me," says Beale. I had already heard a rumor that he was going to join the Rangers. "It was only the day before in Liverpool that someone had said they would ask me to come with them. Gerrard later confirmed that he had been watching his coaching team long before his appointment at Ibrox and someone with Beale's knowledge and experience would always do it." be part of it. "What I'll never do is do someone else's job if they're better than me at it," Gerrard told The Robbie Fowler Podcast. "It would take me 15 to 20 years to become as good as Michael Beale as a trainer on the pitch who runs sessions every day, so I'll let Mick be Mick because he's the expert." The responsibility that Gerrard has on his right hand for planning and running sessions is highly valued by Beale. and that time on the training ground has a lasting impact on the players he has coached. Former Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty was quoted on Open Goal as saying that Beale was " the head behind it all ", while Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher said:" You knew it exactly. He was a top coach when he was away. " Ex-Ib Rox midfielders Andy Halliday and Greg Docherty have also seen Beale ardently supported. But not only the players share this admiration. Former Rangers reserve team manager Peter Lovenkrands was so impressed with Beale's work that he wished he were a player again. "What he does to the players on the pitch is phenomenal," Lovenkrands told BBC Scotland. "I remember he gave me training sessions because I was making the reserves. He wanted us to copy it. Actually, I wanted to participate in training. The players love it. His preparation for every game is fantastic to watch and Gerrard is very lucky to have him. "

BBC Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts, 42, shares photos of her stoma pouch

The Radio 1 star, who lives with partner Kate Holderness, shared photos of her ostomy bags and said she was getting used to wearing one but admitted that “I feel like I need a trainer to help me helps to tame them ”. (Author: Gardener)

DJ Adele Roberts documented her recovery from surgery to remove a tumor from her colon last week - and even asked fans to choose the color of their ostomy pouch.

The 42-year-old Radio 1 star posted a clip in her Instagram Stories on Tuesday in which she is wearing an ostomy bag after she was discharged from hospital after surgery last Monday.

The former I'm A Celebrity star told her 154,000 followers in an emotional post on October 24th that she was diagnosed with colon cancer a month after she learned she had the disease.

Roberts told her followers this week that "that little stoma pocket helped me save my life," despite admitting it was difficult to get used to, saying, "I feel like I need a trainer who helps me tame him. It's wild! Haha.

"It does what it wants, when it wants ... but I'm sure I'll make it."

When she posted today, she showed off the bag in three different shades - beige, black, or gray - then asked fans to pick one. Most of her followers have chosen gray.

The star, who lives with longtime partner Kate Holderness, has been inundated with support since her illness was announced last week.

After last week's surgery, Adele said to her concerned followers, “Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone. You were absolutely amazing! So nice, send good wishes and take care of my family. '

Adele added: “You are the greatest! You kept me going I've had my ups and downs this week, but today I really feel like I'm around the corner and hopefully I'm healthy enough to go home soon.

“I'm so sorry I wasn't in here much. I didn't actually speak on the phone, but my family told me how wonderful everyone was. You brought them so much comfort. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. '

She thanked her medical team and added, “God bless the NHS. I can't believe how hard they work and how much they care. You are the next level - so special.

“I send you so much love when you are going through a difficult time. Especially if you are living with cancer. There are a few ladies on my ward who inspire me every day. They are warriors - have often kept me from feeling sorry for myself! Also reminds me that I'm not alone with this and that it could be a lot worse for me.

“Thanks again to everyone who got me through. Including the BT Tower! '

The former I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here star went on to describe the little positives she takes with her every day, including watching the BT Tower before her radio shows every morning and the sunrise when London wakes up.

"I also always pay attention to the message of the day," she continued. “I never thought that one day I would watch the sun from the other side.

Seeing 'Good Morning London' every day made me so grateful and was my reminder that everything will be fine. Had my first solid breakfast this morning as the day started.

“We wish everyone a good week and if you are worried about something that is not normal for you, please go to someone. Early detection saves lives. I don't want this little horror to take us away any more. '

Adele's celebrity friends rushed to the comments section of her post to share their good wishes with the star.

Fleur East, who commented, “I send so much love to you and your family, Adele. Thank you for sharing your experience. Hopefully, it will help others spot signs early and encourage others who are going through the same thing. You are so strong!! Keep smiling!

Clara Amfo reassured her friend: “Don't apologize for anything !!!! We love you!!!!!!'

Strictly Come Dancing star Graziano Di Prima said: “My darling !! be strong!! FORZA !!. '

Chloe Madeley wrote, "We love you, Adele stay strong and positive, girl, you got that."

Adele took to Instagram on Sunday to make the announcement and said she would have surgery on Monday to remove a tumor.

Adele said she was diagnosed earlier this month, adding that "the outlook is positive" as she encouraged people with symptoms to see their doctor.

She wrote, “Ok, there is no easy way to do this and it feels weird, especially posting on social media (I go full Black Mirror) but I hope it reaches anyone who could benefit from it to see it or read it.

“I have been struggling with my digestion for some time. Thanks to a conversation I had with my father a few years ago, I went to my family doctor for a check-up.

“I'm honest, I was embarrassed, but I also knew it could be serious. So I went just in case. At first I thought nothing of it and just assumed that it could be a food intolerance.

“After a few phone calls, I was sent for some examinations and controls. Then I was diagnosed with colon cancer. That was at the beginning of the month.

"It all happened so quickly and I'm so sorry to post something like this here, but I hope it helps anyone who is worried or in silence. PLEASE make sure to get vetted if you have any concerns.

“The sooner you can see your doctor or speak to someone, the sooner you can get help. If I hadn't, I might not be so lucky. '

Adele praised the NHS, saying that she will treat "anything" she has.

She said, "As I have learned in the past few weeks, there is no such thing as 'normal' with cancer. Unfortunately, it can affect anyone, at any age and at any time. It does not discriminate. Early detection can save your life.

“The NHS was INCREDIBLE. They are heroes. I'll have an operation tomorrow to remove the tumor and then see if I need any further treatment or if the cancer has spread.

“So far the outlook is positive and I am so happy to be treated. It's just the beginning of my journey, but I'll give all I have.

“I send so much love and positivity to everyone for the week ahead. THANK YOU to my family Words cannot describe how much you have helped me over the past few weeks. You saved me.

“You are my angels and I will think of you tomorrow. I can't wait to wake up and see your beautiful faces (on FaceTime when I can summarize enough to work on my phone). If your voices cannot be heard, you will be everything. That's all I want. '

Adele added that the hardest part of her diagnosis was telling her family about it, especially her friend Kate Holderness.

She wrote: “I didn't know I would write something like this. The hardest part was not even finding out that I had cancer. It told my family. It broke my heart.

“If you know any of them, please take care of them for me until I can see them again. Especially my Katie. I worry that she will be alone while I'm away.

“I think of you when you go through something similar and send love to your family and friends. Thank you to everyone who shared their trip online or publicly.

“You have brought me so much comfort and helped me through those sleepless nights. I hope this post can do the same for someone else. '

Adele also thanked her colleagues at BBC Radio 1 for their support, saying their listeners had been a comfort to them without their realizing it.

She said, “Thanks to Radio 1 too, you were amazing. I couldn't be in a better place to go through this. Your support has meant the world to me and my family.

“I love you Team Weekend ... and your audience ... wow. You got through the last few weeks without knowing it. Thanks also to the brilliant teams at Fuse, Nissan and Noisy Kitchen. You were all so kind, supportive, and understanding. I cannot thank you all enough.

"Okay, I want to keep this positive, so I'll sign this. I saw a brilliant quote recently: 'Strength doesn't come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming things that you previously thought you couldn't.'

“I am ready to do this. The time is up, cancer ... it's time to go.

“In case you're concerned, there is a list of symptoms. Stay safe and see you on the other side xx '.

Adele shared an infographic listing some of the symptoms of colon cancer, including bleeding from the floor or stool and a persistent and inexplicable change in bowel habits.

Other symptoms include unexplained weight loss, extreme tiredness for no apparent reason, and pain or lump in the abdomen.

Adele was inundated with good wishes after announcing on BBC Radio 1's Instagram account that the station was looking forward to having her back on the airwaves.

They wrote, “We send all of our love and support to you, Kate, and your families. Everyone at Radio 1 - along with all of our listeners - wish you a speedy recovery and we can't wait to see you back on the air soon ❤️❤️ '.

BBC presenter Clara Amfo wrote, “I love you so much,” while Mollie King added, “I send you so much love, Adele! ❤️❤️❤️ '.

Former Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle wrote: “I think of you, dearest !!!! Good luck tomorrow!!!! ❤️❤️ '.

Real Housewives of Cheshire Star Tanya Bardsley wrote, “Oh my god darling, I'm sorry, but if there is someone who does cancer best, it definitely is ️ Send lots of love and strength, step on Cancer in the ass you got ”.

Adele first rose to fame when she starred in Big Brother's third season with roommates Jade Goody, Alison Hammond, and winner Kate Lawler.

The presenter from Southport, Merseyside ranked seventh after 43 days in the house.

She talked about being bisexual on the show, even though she hadn't revealed her sexuality to her parents at the time.

While attending a RU Coming Out charity panel discussion reported by Gay Star News, she stated, "I went to college and had a girlfriend and everyone was cool, but I didn't have that conversation with my mom and dad guided." .

“But I went to Big Brother in 2002 and talked about it, and that's how they found out. I wish I had had this conversation with you sooner. '

Adele said she struggled to come out as a teenager in the 1990s while growing up in Southport.

She said, “There weren't many people out there that I knew. There were only a few famous people - Elton John and Martina Navratilova.

“I felt pretty depressed and pretty alone. Since I'm mixed race, my mom and dad always said be proud of who you are, and that got me through.

“When you come out the weight being lifted is amazing. If you can come out, when it is safe to come out, the first opportunity to be yourself is amazing.

“One of the first things I wanted to do as soon as I got to the BBC was tell as many people as possible so I could help them if there were other young people who were having problems.

"I feel like it's my duty as I was so alone when I was younger."

Adele switched to radio after her stint on Big Brother and landed her first appearance on Rock FM in Lancashire, followed by The Hits Radio in Manchester.

In 2015, Adele was announced as the new host of Radio 1's Early Breakfast show from 4:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Five years later, she became the first black woman to host the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show after host Greg James went off the air after the Brit Awards, which later turned out to be a planned stunt in which listeners had to try to find him .

In 2019 Adele participated in I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! where she was the first camp mate to be voted out.

The following year, she and her friend Kate appeared on E4's reality game show Celebrity Coach Trip.

Owls and gills levels in an entertaining draw

Play-off hopefuls Sheffield Wednesday and relegation risk Gillingham could not be separated in Hillsborough in a fascinating 1-1 draw. (Author: Gardener)

Oliver gave the guests an unlikely lead after 21 minutes despite a quick start by the Owls with a cool finish to Wildsmith. It was only in the 75th minute that Kamberi gave the hosts the equalizer they deserved, but Darren Moore's team had a chance of leaving with all three points that day. The Owls dominated the early stages of the game when Kamberi scored the hosts' first shot after six minutes but was only able to shoot at Cumming in the Gillingham net. Paterson was very unlucky not to give the hosts the lead when he flicked the ball at the post after a cross that left Cumming untouched. In the 21st minute, Gillingham had the lead against the course of the game when Oliver was found by a flick onto an acre course and he was able to push the ball past Wildsmith into the lower right corner. Paterson charged for The Owls to level, but his pass failed to get Shodipo on target. After about half an hour there were requests for a penalty kick for Darren Moore's team as Bannan's header attack allegedly hit the arm of a defender on his way far, but the referee waved it off. O'Keefe's long-range shot just missed the right post as Gillingham seemed content to shoot from range to catch up with substitute goalkeeper Wildsmith. Akehurst made an important block just before half-time to keep the Gills ahead and deflected a Corbeanu shot at the back post off goal. Corbeanu's cross into the box passed Cumming and left an empty net, but there was no one at the end of the pass to level the score for Wednesday. Corbeanu tried again from long range, but his shot was aimed directly at Cumming. The home crowd grew more frustrated as the game developed with alleged waste of time by the Gillingham players, with Dempsey and O'Keefe being dealt with early in the second half. Paterson missed a huge chance to equalize on Wednesday when he received the ball after a cutback from Corbeanu, only to get his shot just outside the 5-yard area. Two minutes later, substitute Berahino received the ball in the dangerous area, but could not bring it completely under control, which prevented him from one-on-one against Cumming. 15 minutes before the end of the game, Kamberi managed to equalize for The Owls: Bannan's shot was blocked by Cumming, but only until Kamberi, who was eliminated with a simple tap to make it 1-1. Tucker was on the line to tuck the ball away in an important game for Gillingham that would have brought them from winning to losing in two minutes had it not been for Tucker to stop a cross that Cumming hit. After the finals, Gillingham finished the game as the happier of the two teams, despite having taken the lead. Moore's team dominated the first and last 15 minutes of the game and should probably have had more control of the tie from these phases.

Gabby Petito's parents collect their remains in Wyoming

Gabby Petito's grieving parents have finally found the remains of their murdered daughter six weeks after she was abandoned in Wyoming by her fugitive fiancé Brian Laundrie. (Author: Gardener)

Gabby Petito's grieving parents collected the remains of their murdered daughter six weeks after her body was dumped at a remote Wyoming campsite.

With grimacing faces, the family left Valley Mortuary in Jackson, Wyoming on Saturday morning for the last places Petito visited before she was murdered and a meeting with detectives working on the case.

Mother Nichole seemed visibly upset when they left the funeral home while Father Joe, dressed in black, held the white box containing Petito's body to his chest.

The remains of the blonde Petito are now being taken to Long Island, New York, for burial.

Earlier this week, Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue, known the results of Petito's autopsy - she had been manually strangled before being dumped near a remote campsite in Grand Teton National Park.

Petito's father Joe and his wife Tara as well as their mother Nichole and husband Jim have been in Jackson since Wednesday afternoon and spent Thursday morning at the campsite where she was found.

They were escorted by officers from the Teton County Sheriff to Spread Creek Campground, 27 miles outside of town.

The remote location where the blogger's body was discovered on September 19 has become a shrine to Petito, complete with a stone cross strewn with flowers.

The family then spent the afternoon in the sheriff's office and was briefed by detectives working on the case.

On Friday, they met with rescuers from the Teton County Search and Rescue team who were participating in the hunt for Petito's body and visiting Jenny Lake, where their van was parked shortly before they disappeared.

Papa Joe posted a photo of the lake on his social media with the caption, “I now know why you came here. #GabbyPetito now has a nice view. Love you and miss you. '

Stepmother Tara tweeted a photo of herself with Nichole at the glacial lake and wrote: "Two mothers at Jenny Lake enjoying the beauty of i"

Fiancé Brian Laundrie, on the run, has been named a Person of Interest in Petito's death and is currently on a bank fraud warrant for using the 22-year-old's debit card to withdraw $ 1,000 from her account after her death.

On Saturday morning, armed police were seen raiding a reservation near Laundrie's family home in North Port, Florida.

Brian Laundrie, 23, is still the only named person interested in Gabby's death, which has been classified as murder by strangulation.

Laundrie herself disappeared on September 17, nearly three weeks after returning from the couple's trip to Florida without them.

He is also being wanted by federal agents for "using unauthorized access devices" after allegedly using a debit card that did not belong to him between August 30 and September 1 after Gabby's death.

Gabby had been on an overland trip with Laundrie, visiting Colorado, Utah, and other states after leaving New York in early July. She was reported missing by her parents on Sept. 11 after failing to respond to calls and text messages for several days while the couple visited national parks to the west.

Her body was found eight days later, on September 19, at a campsite near Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming - alive 22 days after the last reported sighting.

Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue, had previously classified her death as murder, meaning that her death was caused by someone else, but had not disclosed how she was killed until further autopsy results.

On Tuesday, Blue confirmed that Gabby's cause of death was "manual strangulation," but was unable to release further information due to Wyoming law.

He said little more about her physical condition - including whether she might have been directly strangled by someone with their hands, rope, or other object - but stated when asked that she was not pregnant.

He refused to provide additional details about the results of the autopsy, including: whether her body was buried, whether drugs were found in her body, and whether she was killed in the same location as her body was found.

However, the three to four weeks that her body was believed to be in the wilderness brought her death to the August 27-30 period. Investigators believe Petito and Laundrie traveled to the area.

Blue added that law enforcement had taken DNA samples while the investigation into her murder continued and who was responsible.

Authorities have not named a suspect for her murder, but it's possible they've already named one behind closed doors, a former FBI agent told WPBF 25.

"I bet that information went to the grand jury - there are now sealed charges against the arrest of the person responsible for Gabby Petito's death," said former FBI agent Stuart Kaplan.

"This can of course include or exclude him [Brian Laundrie] as the attacker or person responsible for Gabby Petito's death."

He believes it is unlikely that the suspect's name will not be revealed until after an arrest.

Prosecutor Dave Aronberg said Laundries DNA may not show up on the samples on Petito's body due to the amount of time her body was exposed to the elements, but other evidence such as cell phone records could still be used against him, according to Carbonare by WPFB.

Gabby's disappearance and subsequent murder has sparked a frenzy since she was first reported missing after her fiancé caught up with a lawyer and refused to cooperate with investigators before she went on the run.

The case has caught the attention of television personalities like Duane Chapman - known as Dog the Bounty Hunter - and longtime America's Most Wanted host John Walsh, who are now also working to track him down.

However, Laundrie's family refused to answer questions and still cite the Carlton reservation as the last place Brian was seen.

Laundrie family lawyer Anthony Bertolino issued a statement Thursday attempting to express their condolences to Gabby's family after the cause of their death was revealed.

"Gabby Petito's death at such a young age is a tragedy," he wrote.

"While Brian Laundrie is currently charged with the unauthorized use of a Gabby debit card, Brian is only considered a person of interest in relation to Gabby Petito's death," wrote Bertolino. "At this point, Brian is still missing and if he is found we will address the fraud allegations pending against him."

“His words are rubbish. Keep talking, ”she wrote to a WFLA reporter in Tampa Bay.

Brian Laundrie's father also refused to answer questions as he mowed his lawn around a makeshift memorial to his fugitive son's deceased fiancée on Wednesday morning.

In a video posted on Twitter the morning after the coroner's announcement, Chris Laundrie, 62, was caught using a grass cutter cutting blades near the memorial to Petito in his front yard while being interviewed by a reporter.

While gardening on Wednesday, Chris Laundrie avoided caution tape, bouquets of flowers, and photos of Petito, 22, while ignoring questions from an off-camera man.

'Would you like to say something?' he asked. Chris didn't answer.

“Is there anything you want people to know? You and Roberta didn't say anything, ”he added, which Chris completely ignored as well.

Alleged protesters were also at the Laundrie residence in North Port last night trying to confront Chris and his wife Roberta when they knocked on the door demanding that the couple "speak soon".

Chris Laundrie's clip was made when Petito's grieving parents went to Wyoming to retrieve their remains three weeks after their body was found near Grand Teton National Park.

The Teton County coroner announced just yesterday that she died of manual strangulation. According to Fox, Petito's parents expect to return to Long Island, New York with their ashes this weekend.

Hours after Petito's cause of death became known, a man was filmed outside her Florida home shouting, “Come on dirty laundries. Come on, you like to choke people.

"You and your little b **** a ** son. It is time to wake up and face the consequences. '

The laundries have not been charged or charged with any crime.

After the protesters left, Chris stepped into view of nearby camera lenses twice, including once when he appeared to be locking the door, Fox reported.

Police arrived at the apartment minutes later after a car passed the house and honked for several seconds.

Laundrie has been on the run for exactly a month. His parents claim he was last seen on September 13th.

On September 1, he returned early from the cross-country road trip he had done with Petito in the white motorhome.

Last week, Chris escorted FBI agents to search for his son on the vast 24,565-acre Carlton Reservation where an alleged "fresh campground" was found.

But the discovery was denied by the investigators and the joint search was unsuccessful.

The Laundrie family did not join the FBI in any of their searches after the search with the fugitive's father fell short on October 7th.

North Port Florida police announced the next day that the only person involved in Petito's murder had been monitored in the days before he escaped.

Police spokesman Josh Taylor told CNN that Laundrie was being monitored to the best of their ability by the authorities at a time when Petito was still missing and not dead and no warrant had been issued for Laundrie.

Taylor made no further information about the scope of this surveillance or how Laundrie could then slip through the net.

It's not clear whether investigators have ever had evidence of his presence at the Laundrie family home in North Port since Petito was born on Nov.

Investigators have confirmed they never spoke to or saw Laundrie that day when his family defended themselves and the police denied access to their home to speak to him. Instead, the timeline of his disappearance appears to be largely based on reports from Laundrie's parents, Christopher and Roberta - accounts that changed this week.

Gino D'Acampo's seldom seen family and how the son caused an uncomfortable clash with Gordon Ramsay

Gino D'Acampo gives fans a rare glimpse into his private life on the new ITV show Gino's Italian Family Adventure - he goes on a trip with his wife, three children and even the in-laws (Author: Gardener)

Gino D'Acampo gives fans a rare glimpse into his private life in the new ITV show Gino's Italian Family Adventure - traveling with his wife, three children and even the in-laws Gino D'Acampo is the charming Italian chef who walks us in Giggles - but he's also a loving husband and a loving father. We're used to seeing the cheeky TV chef awkwardly mispronounce words that morning or bump into Gordon Ramsay on one of her road trips. What the cameras don't see, however, is Gino's life at home with his three-decade-old wife and three children. So fans will be excited to see tonight's new ITV show, Gino and Family's Italian Adventure, which will give us a glimpse into his off-screen life. Gino wants his British-born and raised Bambinos to discover their Italian roots and where his passion for food began and takes them on a journey from the Mediterranean island of Sardinia to his crazy hometown of Naples. It could also be a bit tense at times, as Gino's in-laws are also traveling - the Italian has been with Mrs. Jessica Stellina Morrison since he was 19. The childhood sweetheart met as a teenager in 1995 when they were both working at Sylvester Stallone's Mambo King restaurant in Marbella. The restaurant was Gino's first job as a chef, and Jessica was hired as a waitress there - and the setting for romance. "I went to get a piece of meat and she took a piece of butter - it was a recipe at first sight," Gino once joked. But it certainly wasn't love at first sight because they actually spent the first few weeks arguing before sharing their first kiss in the meat fridge. The couple married in 2002 and have three children together (more on that later), but somewhat surprisingly for a passionate Italian chef, Gino has confessed that he is not a big fan of romance. "I'm not interested in flowers or chocolates or anything like that, I'm not," Gino told Der Spiegel in 2014. Gino D'Acampo says his wife Jessica is not jealous of women who surround him on TV with Gino on vacation The Gino family isn't about rose petals strewn on the bedroom floor or candle-lit bubble baths, and he's actually so busy with his business and TV career that he can barely spend time with his wife. “Jessica and I don't really spend time together,” he revealed. That's a good thing, I don't want to know everything my wife does, otherwise I'll get bored with "the things that people do on date nights!" Jessica was the driving force behind Gino's decision to move to the UK permanently, which he attributes to his success. He landed a cooking show on This Morning and then went on to become a household name with I'm a Celebrity before joining Celebrity Juice and hosting Family Fortunes. This has enabled him to buy his family two beautiful and historic houses - one of which is a listed seven bedroom townhouse in Hertfordshire. The other one is back in his homeland on the Italian island of Sardinia, where he spends half of the year. Gino on vacation with his son Gino is often surrounded by beautiful women because of his TV work, but Jessica is not a jealous one, he doesn't care. While Gino also completely trusts his wife and admitted that he wouldn't mind if she dated an ex. Speaking to Weekend magazine in 2019, Gino raved: "When I met my wife, I realized she was an extremely generous, smart woman. When I say, 'I take friends with me,' she doesn't say: ' But you've been gone last week. 'There's no point in having a man around if he doesn't want to be there. " Gino and Jessica are the proud parents of Luciano, 19, Rocco, 16, and eight-year-old daughter Mia. Regarding their past parenting styles, Gino has admitted that he is the stricter parent of the two. "You can see my wife looking at the kids and saying with her eyes, 'Don't even think about it, it won't bend,'" the star once told Woman magazine. Gino with his eldest, so Luciano Gino's eldest son is even more elegant than him.The family likes to relax by going to the park and pub with the kids to eat traditional English food - and he has them with all sorts of things Culinary arts educated. “I run a family kitchen and we have no options in my house. Through her ITV road trip show, Gino has become a good friend of fellow chef Gordon Ramsay - and it's not just the parents who got closer. Gordon then got nervous when Tilly, currently starring in Strictly Come Dancing, befriended Gino's eldest son Luciano, which resulted in an awkward conversation calling his son while they were driving around Mexico. Luciano revealed he was out to dinner with Tilly, and Gordon yelled so furiously, "What the hell? Gordon went on joking that Tilly might have Gino as a father-in-law, but downplayed the speculation during an appearance on the Jonathan Ross Show, claiming they were “just friends.” Jonathan joked that he thought Gino was not Luciano's father because the teenager was a “very handsome man.” However, when Jonathan asked if it was an “arranged marriage,” Gordon described the situation as “Bloody nightmare.” Gordon said, “We were driving through San Francisco and FaceTiming Luciano and suddenly Tilly shows up behind them and they have lunch. I think they are friends. "Born and raised in England, Gino's children visit Sardinia every summer on vacation, but the family rarely ventures further, so they immerse themselves in the real Italy and embrace their legacy in the new series Each episode, Gino shares his love for Italy and its food with his family - some of whom are more willing than others to lend a hand in finding the finest local delicacies. Gino said, “Food and family are everything to me and I am delighted very much to take my family on a trip through Bella Italia. "We will discover all kinds of great places, people and great new ingredients together. Watch out for Italy, the cooking D'Acampo's are coming!"

Adam Peaty's partner shares what it was like to watch Strictly

Adam Peaty's partner Eiri Munro gives an open account of the Strictly experience from a partner's perspective when the Olympian danced with Katya (pictured). (Author: Gardener)

When Olympic swimmer gold medalist Adam Peaty, 26, became the newest celebrity to drop out of Strictly Come Dancing last weekend, partner Eiri Munro, 23, could let out a sigh of relief.

After all, Eiri found her own relationship with the swimmer under public scrutiny when Peaty and his dance partner Katya Jones almost appeared to be kissing during a hot Argentine tango. Here, Eiri, an artist who lives with Adam and her son George, gives an open account of the Strictly experience from a partner's perspective. You may be surprised by your observations. . .

Aug 5: We are in our garden with Adam's brother crowding around the radio when it is announced that he will be on this year's Strictly Come Dancing contestant. We have had this news under our hat for a few weeks now and can finally share our enthusiasm.

We hug and Adam's brother teases him about his chances of winning - his talents in the water are undisputed, but on the dance floor? Let's just say he's not Rudolf Nureyev. . .

However, the whole experience should be a breeze compared to this summer's Olympics. Nothing could affect family life like Adam was in Tokyo for five weeks, plus all the training he did ahead of the Games, which is a relief as I've been home alone with George most of the time since he was born in September 2020.

September 11th: Our son has his first birthday and Adam has been in the rehearsal room since the day before to sketch out the dance partner reveal show that will be broadcast next Saturday.

After spending many days saying good morning and good night on FaceTime while in Tokyo, the last thing I want is for Adam to have a happy birthday to George over a phone screen.

Adam's dance partner is Katya Jones. All we know about her is that she is extremely competitive and an incredible choreographer. If he wants to do it well, she tells him, they have to rehearse 12 hours a day. Sip. That is a far cry from the 12 hours a week we envisioned.

I've never been a Strictly fan so I don't have any preconceived notions about Katya.

Adam and I have a very strong relationship. Obviously I've heard of the 'Strictly Curse'. From the moment that rumors started spreading in August that Adam would be on the show, strangers started texting me on social media saying, “Don't let him go on the show!” “Adam will get you leaving! for his dance partner ”.

Adam is a good man and father so I'm not worried.

Strange to see him so close to another woman

September 25th: It's the first week of the competition and although no one will leave tonight, the judges' scores will carry over to next week when the voting becomes public at best in cha cha.

Despite his physical fitness, he comes home exhausted from rehearsals.

I cook his favorite dishes - cottage pie with steak pieces instead of minced meat and grilled steak with vegetables - which we eat on the sofa with Sauvignon Blanc.

George stays with his grandma the night and I watch the show with friends. I can't believe how nervous I am when the show's introductory music starts. I'm used to seeing him competing on TV, but he usually swims - and wins gold medals for doing so!

There's no denying that it is a bit uncomfortable to watch my partner get close to another woman, especially on live television, in front of millions of people.

Who wouldn't feel uncomfortable? But Adam and I have talked about it and we are both aware that the physical intimacy is just inevitable, not a threat to us and anything is part of the performance.

And, woo-hoo - all of his hard work is paying off! All four jurors praise his footwork - even the critical Craig Revel Horwood seems enthusiastic and says: "I was captivated by every inch of movement, darling, you couldn't take my eyes off it" - and he and Katya finish second in the together Ranking.

2nd / 3rd October: I have a seat at the ring tonight - and I can hardly wait. I'll watch it live at the BBC's Elstree studios with my sister Abigail, 20, who is a huge Strictly fan. Adam does an impressive quickstep to Are You Gonna Be My Girl and I keep grinning like a Cheshire Cat.

I meet Katya for the first time and she looks lovely.

Being as close to the action as Adam and Katya do the quickstep is even more exciting than watching from home. They come in second, but Shirley Ballas hits the spot when she tells Adam, 'You don't go under easily and you are 100 percent competitive.'

Adam and I drive home together in the car and come back at 2 a.m. And he did it - only just because he's one point away from the bottom of the leaderboard - and will be through until next week!

9/10 October: It's film week and before the show starts Adam sends me a photo of him looking hot, dressed and made up as the character of Avatar. It's my favorite of all of his Strictly costumes. I can't resist teasing my Instagram followers with a message that says, "Now let me tell you. . . you are not ready Proud of you baby. ' And I really am. He works so hard that at the end of the day he hobbles through the door and when he takes off his shoes and socks his feet are like balloons.

The moment Adam appears on the screen, George rushes to the TV, shakes his bum to the music and yells "Daddy!" The joy on his face makes all those long days of feeling like a single mother worthwhile.

Unfortunately, the judges aren't that impressed with Adam's rumba, and he and Katya end up at the bottom of the leaderboard, although they graciously survive the dance-off to fight for another week.

October 16: Adam warned me last night that this week's routine, Argentine tango, is a "very sexy dance". I thought, 'Yeah, that's fine, I can handle it'.

But watching my mother at home, woah, it's intense.

After that, I decide to see what others say about it on Twitter and can't believe how many people claim that Adam almost kissed Katya. Obviously Adam didn't go in for a kiss.

It gets really hard when family members and friends start texting and asking if I'm okay, obviously influenced by what they read online. I even get messages from strangers telling me to leave Adam, can't they see that the Strictly performances are like acting?

It's not easy for me as Adam's partner to watch, but I know that they have to be 100 percent committed to the role in order to compete.

I cry over some of the gruesome comments

October 17: Humor is the best way to deal with most things in life, so I posted a video on TikTok last night pretending to cry next to the message, “Your friend on live -Watching TV almost kisses another woman. Finding out ten million people saw it too. '

Today I am completely stunned that the video has been viewed eight million times and liked by 900,000 people.

And the news is pouring in - I've got literally thousands of them, most of them from total strangers - a lot of it positive, but some of it negative. I know Adam didn't do anything wrong. How could they even hint that the dance would justify me breaking up with it?

People seem to forget that we are real people, not fictional characters, when they make these comments. They are hard to take and I burst into tears at the cruelty of the comments. I'm just grateful that George is too young to understand what's going on, but also sad that he sees me so upset now.

Oct 20: Adam has been so strong and supportive, but he's also confused that he's being blamed for something he didn't do, and he's really struggling to deal with it.

It can't be easy for his dance partner either, so George and I go to him and Katya for dinner after rehearsals and have a few glasses of wine in a nice gastropub.

It's nice to get to know Katya and form my own opinion about her - away from the harmful influence of internet trolls. She is so warm and kind and George loves her. We're not talking about people's reactions to tango. The backlash was so uncomfortable for all of us that we'd rather just enjoy the evening.

23/24 October: another scandal! Everyone is talking about Adam's pants and accusing the cloakroom staff of tightening them every week. TV host Victoria Coren says suggestively on Twitter, "He's going to need some help getting those pants off," and other women are starting to comment on his muscular thighs.

Do i feel jealous? Of course not! When I see these women love Adam and his bum, I smile - and I'm even more proud to call him mine.

Give me this dialogue about last week's onslaught, every day.

Adam also gets a standing ovation from the audience - hurray - but the jury seems less impressed with his samba and he ends up third from the bottom.

30./31. October: Adam is really looking forward to the Viennese waltz, his first slow ballroom dance. I don't want to let him know that I'm concerned, but I think the judges and audience prefer the faster routines of him and Katya.

And, aargh, he's in the bottom two and the dance against Loose Woman Judi Love. I exhale a great sigh of relief as he survives to dance another week.

Later, a photo appears online of Adam and Katya hugging in a parking lot after rehearsals. Adam and I share the article and laugh. The implication is that it's romantic and it should be a "big hit" for me. I realize how easily things can be thrown upside down.

Nov 7: I'm at a campfire party with friends and we all huddle around my cell phone in the garden to see Strictly.

Adam and Katya do a jive to Little Bitty Pretty One, originally from Frankie Lymon And The Teenagers. Although I feel sick when they end up among the last two and dance-off against Tilly Ramsay, we both knew from the start that he was unlikely to win. Keep your fingers crossed for tomorrow evening's result.

November 8th: Adam is out! Oh my god it's hard to see him cry on national TV and not be there to hug him. When we speak, he is just as shocked by the tears as I am - he is not a screamer!

Adam's mother suggests that the result was a solution. There's a lot of maternal love in there - she thinks he's the best at everything - and if George is ever in that position I will no doubt feel the same way.

I have to admit, as his partner and mother of his child, I am devastated for him and Katya, but also a little relieved that it is over. It was a lot to deal with, sometimes a circus, and Adam is long overdue for a break.

It annoys me that people think I'm happy with Adam and Katya's journey coming to an end.

People online suggest that I'm glad they don't spend any more time together - but in fact, I can't wait to take Katya out for dinner.

I'm upset and angry about Katya's name and I want her and Adam to stay friends and her to stay in our lives for a long time.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor says her husband had counseling while she was at Strictly in 2013 - they were uncomfortable with all the talk that she and dancer Brendan Cole were a "couple" - and I totally understand her.

The hardest part of it had nothing to do with Adam and Katya's friendship, but with the pressure of all the rumors and things people write on social media. It was harder than either of us could have foreseen.

I think as a family we all agree, compared to Strictly, the Olympics were a breeze.
