Jets can't explain another slow loss-making start to Falcons

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan (2) greets New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson (2) after an NFL football game between the New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, Sunday October 10, 2021. The Atlanta Falcons won the game by 27:20. Atlanta Falcons celebrate after Mike Davis (28) scores a touchdown during the second half of an NFL football game between the New York Jets and the Atlanta Falcons at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England on Sunday October 10, 2021. The Jets faced the Atlanta Falcons with high hopes after Zach Wilson put on a star performance last week. But the rookie quarterback's London debut was a dud and the Falcons won 27:20 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. The Jets (1-4) only gained 80 yards in the first half, posting five first downs compared to the Falcons' 251 yards and 17 first downs in the first two quarters. "Starting in three is not the way to sit on the sidelines," said Wilson. “We can't keep trying to come from behind. The NFL is too tough to always come from behind. ”The second drive was also a three-and-out, and the next ended with an interception - Wilson's leading ninth place. The pass wasn't like one of the long balls he hit the Tennessee Titans last week in a 27-24 overtime win that showed why the Jets made Wilson the No. 2 draft pick. He missed Keelan Cole on an open deep ball picked up by Jaylinn Hawkins. "Obviously, the frustration, just you know what, fuck it, I'm going to pull this ball on the sidelines and it's wide open," said Wilson. It was wide open and I just have to make a better throw, whatever it is, I have to come out and be ready to rip this thing up. I can't hesitate on any of these throws. ”By then the score was 17-0 and the Falcons were back in motion when Hayden Hurst caught a pass but fumbled at Jets 13 when CJ Mosley hit the ball and Michael Carter II pulled it back . Only then did the Jets move the ball and head to Atlantas 16 before stalling with two incompleteness and a brief win in third place. Matt Ammendola brought her to the board with a 31-yard field goal with 2:18 at halftime. The Jets got rushing TDs from Ty Johnson and Michael Carter in the second half. Carter's 2-yard run and Jamison Crowder's catch on the 2-point conversion reduced Atlanta's lead to 20-17 with 6:55 remaining. But the Falcons took a long run on Mike Davis' 3-yard run to extend the lead to 27:17, 2:19. "I have to come out and throw that thing, do the real readings," Wilson said. “I only missed a few throws. I can't come out and miss throws, and no hard throws. ”Wilson finished 19 of 32 for 192 yards and no touchdowns with an interception. After seven sacks last week, the Jets failed to reach Matt Ryan, who threw 342 yards and two touchdowns. Jets trainer Robert Saleh said Wilson has to trust himself "when bullets fly". "It's very easy to stand on the driving range and drive 300-yard drives," said Saleh. “And when he hits,” Saleh continued, “it'll be pretty cool when it does. Mosley, who played all 100 defensive snaps against the Titans last week, took responsibility for some of Atlanta's easy finishes in the first half.

LONDON (AP) - Matt Ryan didn't have his two best wide receivers in London. The Atlanta Falcons quarterback had Kyle Pitts and Cordarrelle Patterson - and that was enough, especially since the New York Jets stumbled again early. Ryan threw 342 yards and two touchdowns, including the first NFL result for Pitts, and the Falcons held and knocked out the Jets in a 27:20 win on Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Falcons (2-3) built a 20-3 halftime lead with Ryan finding wide open targets despite the absence of receivers Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage. "It was an opportunity for a number of our wide receivers to step up and play," said Ryan. Atlanta coughed up late in a 34:30 loss to Washington last week, but this time the win stayed despite the Jets (1-4) by losing two fumbles. But Zach Wilson and the Jets struggled to move the ball, which was the story of the season for the rookie quarterback. Last week he played his best game of the season against Tennessee, Wilson finished 19 of 32 for 192 yards and no touchdowns with an interception Pitts, who had taken Atlanta two places after Wilson in fourth place overall in the NFL draft in April his best game with nine receptions for 119 yards and his first NFL TD. Ryan made 33 of 45 passes without interceptions. The 14-year-old veteran became the seventh QB to complete 5,000, surpassing Eli Manning for the eighth most passing yards in NFL history. And he did it on Sunday without Ridley. who did not accompany the team to London "because of a personal matter" while Gage is out with an ankle injury. Patterson continued to do a little of everything for the Falcons, and the Jets had few answers for him. The running back / wide receiver / kick returner had seven receptions for 60 yards and ran 54 yards on 14 carries to lead the team. The Jets fought mightily again in the first half, gaining only 80 yards and scoring five first downs compared to the Falcons' 251 yards and 17 first downs in the first two quarters. "We weren't able to do it in the first half," said Jets coach Robert Saleh. "We can't keep trying to come from behind," said Wilson. Carter's 2-yard run and Jamison Crowder's catch on the 2-point conversion reduced Atlanta's lead to 20-17 with 6:55 remaining. The Falcons then finally found the dolphin drive they'd missed and ran 75 yards in nine games that ended with Mike Davis' 3-yard run. On the second and second goals, Davis took the handoff, spun, and got a collective push from his offensive linemen to get into the end zone to extend the lead to 27:17, 2:19. Davis finished with 53 yards on 13 carries. The scoring drive included Olamide Zaccheau's 15-yard catch and dive for a first down to Jets 24 to third and 13 after Ryan found Pitts for a 39-yard win. He's got incredible speed for a tight player, ”said Ryan. Matt Ammendola's 49-yard field goal made it 27:20, but the onside kick of the Jets was brought back by Zaccheaus - and sealed Atlanta's victory. After Patterson's 17-yard reception at Jets 2 in the first quarter, the Falcons got a disagreement with defensive end John Franklin-Myers, who covered Pitts on first and goal. Ryan hit Pitts near the far right corner of the end zone to make it 10-0. Pitts, whose mother and father traveled to see him in person, said the Falcons saw this coverage in film studies of the jets. "I've been waiting and praying for them all week for them to do it," said Pitts. After another Jets three-and-out, with Wilson throwing behind Corey Davis, the Falcons finished a 77-yard drive with Hayden Hurst's 17-yard TD catch to make it 17-0. With Wilson's defeat, they are 0-5 in the English capital since the NFL started playing regular season games here in 2007. It was the second London game for both teams, but the first at Tottenham. In 2014, the Falcons blew a 21-0 lead against the Detroit Lions and lost 22-21 to Matt Prater's game-winning 48-yard FG at Wembley. A year later, the Jets defeated the Miami Dolphins also 27:14 at Wembley. The NFL will have another game in Tottenham next Sunday when the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Miami Dolphins. The slow offensive of the jets begins to crush us

Jets rookie QB Zach Wilson expressed frustration with his team's slow offensive starts after New York's loss to the Falcons in London. (Author: Gardener)

Jets QB Zach Wilson is picked up by the Falcons and throws a pass from the back of his teammate's helmet on the next drive. Jets QB Zach Wilson is picked up by the Falcons and throws a pass from the back of his teammate's helmet on the next drive. It's the same story week after week: The New York Jets offense only shows up in the second half. It really starts to frustrate quarterback Zach Wilson. "It's a block we have to overcome," said Wilson after a 27:20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The NFL is too tough to always come from behind. "The Jets, which fell 1-4, were down 20-3 at halftime, only making 80 yards and five first downs. They were so out of sync that Wilson put on a screen pass, hit Morgan Moses on the back of the head with a wrong pass. It continued a crazy pattern as the Jets beat 75-13 in the first half, becoming the first team since the 2015 San Francisco 49ers to score in the first half seven out of fewer in each of the first five games. Wilson (19v32, 192 yards, one interception) blamed himself, saying, "I have to get out there and just throw this thing away and do the right readings. I missed a few throws. I can't get out and miss throws. They are not tough throws. The coaches put us in a good position. Named NFL Rookie of the Week after his breakout performance in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans, Wilson only had 65 yards with 9:30 in the game. Despite having proven that he can make spectacular games outside of the script, he still struggles with what are known as simple throws out of the pocket. "It's very easy to stand on the driving range and drive 300-yard drives," said coach Robert Saleh. Saleh admitted that the jets "need to take off faster, and I'm gonna find that out this week" - goodbye. Wide receiver Corey Davis said players need to relax. "We know we are better than 1-4," he said. The Jets went three and out on their first two possession, and Wilson was intercepted on the third possession. The passing attack was conservative, but that's because the Falcons (2-3) played many two deep security looks, according to Saleh. In this case, the Jets should have been able to run the ball against lighter boxes, but they didn't do that very well either. The wide receivers also struggled as starters Davis, Jamison Crowder and Elijah Moore only made 10 catches together, including only three in the first half. Moore, a rookie, was banned and only targeted twice in the game. Wilson was perplexed. "I don't know what it is," he said of the slow starts. I also have to play better at the beginning. We looked really good in the second half of every single game. The Jets closed on Carter's touchdown at 20-17 with 6:55 minutes in play, but the defense - gassed at the time - promptly gave up a 75-yard touchdown drive to seal the loss. First-time offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur takes a lot of heat out of the fights. In last week's win over the Titans, the biggest games came down to Wilson improvisation. Saleh defended LaFleur, saying he called "an aggressive game" in London. With early deficits, the Jets put far too much pressure on their young quarterback. "We have to go," said Wilson. We have to get this offensive going. "

Jerry West recalls the time he was scouting out Kobe Bryant

The logo becomes real as he designed the late Kobe Bryant. (Author: Gardener)

The logo becomes real as he designed the late Kobe Bryant. It's not often that Jerry West does too many interviews these days, especially while seated. O. & Hatch, ’West was asked about what he saw in Kobe Bryant as a teenager that made him think of recruiting someone so young, straight from high school. When you see someone training against men at the age of 18 and being so superior to them, the mental part was especially noticeable. The mental part: the best players who have ever played, the one who can think, the one who can pass, the one who anticipates ... you can see these guys have something that is unique. You're one step ahead ... his ability was absolutely ridiculous, and everyone would like to credit me, the other people in the league, I can't believe they'd overtake such a talent to this day. "Not everyone was with the mental aspect of the Play as gifted as Bryant. Of course, players can exercise physically to perfect certain aspects of the game, but basketball IQ and the perception of the game have always been ingrained in Kobe since he picked up a basketball. West mentions that this was the same case with Luka Doncic. As a young teenager he literally played professional basketball in the Euroleague and has already dominated and won MVP awards. The fact that four players were drafted before Doncic is still baffling to West, much like the 12 players that were drawn before Bryant. Even with the naked eye looking at potential customers, there are a rare number of talented players who are evident that they are destined to become a star in the NBA. The entire interview with Jerry West will appear on YouTube on Wednesday October 13th.

The jet's comeback failed when New York lost to the Falcons in London

The New York Jets are not making a comeback and are lagging behind the Atlanta Falcons in London. Quarterback Zach Wilson struggled when the Jets dipped to 1-4 in the year (Author: Gardener)

The Jets had an opportunity on Sunday to prove that the win over the Titans last week was no accident. Instead of a second straight win, however, New York looked more like the team routinely embarrassed in their first three losses of the season. Zach Wilson struggled while the defense had no responses to quarterback Matt Ryan and the Falcons offensive, paving the way to a disappointing 27:20 loss in London. New York made a small comeback in the second half, raking off 14 unanswered points to narrow the gap to just three, but they don't call Ryan "Matty Ice" for nothing. Inspired by a 39-yard bomb on rookie tight end Kyle Pitts, Ryan sealed the deal on a clutch drive that ended in a 6-yard touchdown run by Mike Davis. They had no first downs compared to Atlanta's 10 first down conversions while the offense had gained 134 yards to 16. New York didn't have a first down until there were nine minutes left in the first half. At this point New York was already losing 17-0 and looked like another shellac was underway. Based on Cordarrelle Patterson and Pitts, Atlanta scored points in each of the first three drives. The veteran quarterback finished the day 342 yards through the air and completed 33 of 45 passes with two scores. He's shown Wilson exactly how to handle an offensive and take what the defensive gives you. Ryan moved the football with a mix of short and medium passes, was sensitive in its execution, and waited until that big game against Pitts in the fourth quarter to air it. Pitts led the way with a monster performance, taking nine passes for 119 yards. Patterson added 60 reception yards and 54 rushing yards and worked downhill the entire game. Meanwhile, Wilson frequently missed open receivers, threw a rash interception early on, and could never explode for a big game. First, Ty Johnson stormed out of a meter on the opening drive of the second half. That score was established by a 65 yard kick return from Tevin Coleman. The drive included six rushing plays and one pass attempt. New York's second score was in the fourth quarter, ending a 90-yard drive in four games. Pass interference on a deep ball to Elijah Moore gave Gang Green 41 yards, putting them in position for a two-yard score (from rookie Michael Carter). That's when the defense didn't come out big in crunch time and Ryan couldn't stop when it mattered most. A late field goal from Matt Ammendola brought the ball game back to a one-score competition, but Atlanta began partying after a failed onside kick attempt. Wilson finished the game 192 yards through the air. After another interception on Sunday, he leads the league through five games with nine picks. The New York Defense have been unable to match their backcourt presence that they had when they beat the Titans in Week 4. The jets ran out of bags after seven days in London. As much as the Jets Defense has still not had an interception this year - they're the only team in the NFL without one - New York forced and restored two fumbles. There were flashes of Wilson and the offense in the fourth quarter, but as we saw before this season, those late increases don't make up for the early inability. It leaves you wondering how many wins this team would have if they had produced in the first half and didn't need two quarters to warm up before starting production.

It really has fun with gameplay but is hampered by technical issues and limited game modes. Positive first impressions and confident developer deep dives showed the legitimate potential of the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl to take a prominent position in the world of platform warriors. I've even indulged in the possibility that this nostalgic brawler will be right with the undisputed king of the genre, Super Smash Bros, several days after its release. Like many games that emphasize the online multiplayer launch in 2021, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is currently facing a variety of serious issues. From incorrectly functioning inputs to marginally unusable online servers, the initial experience was far from ideal for many players. I've spent quite a bit of time playing the game on Xbox and PC, and there's no denying that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is making a real promise. However, significant bugs, performance issues, and obvious flaws have seriously hampered the enjoyment. Bottom Line: Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is brimming with fantastic characters, fun fights, and legitimate potential. However, limited content and a laundry list of bugs prevent it from thriving as a platform fighter right now. With a stunning cast of nearly 20 iconic cartoon characters, past or present, Nickelodeon fans will easily find a fighter to suit their taste or sense of humor in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Historically, Super Smash Bros. has successfully requisitioned the biggest names in the video game world, but Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl manages to bring together some of the greatest figures in general pop culture. It was impossible for me not to have a huge smile on my face when I first saw SpongeBob, Patrick, Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Ren & Stimpy, and Powdered Toast Man together on the character selection screen. As someone who grew up watching a lot of these popular cartoons, this platform fighter suited my nostalgic inclinations a lot. Even more impressive than the list of playable fighters in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is the sheer number of beautiful, detailed stages. There's so much variety for players to fight in, with a commendable balance of tight arena-like stages and vastly sprawling environments. Standout products like Powdered Toast Trouble beautifully capture the essence of Ren & Stimpy from the 1950s and even offer fighters the chance to dip each other in a huge bowl of cereal. Even though I've played some of these stages a dozen times, I still discover subtle background details. While Super Smash Bros. pioneered the platform fighter genre, we've seen countless titles experiment or innovate with this groundbreaking formula. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl certainly retains its gameplay mechanics essentially similar to Super Smash Bros., such as: B. Bringing back wave washing. Directional air strikes offer a sense of maneuverability unlike any other platform fighter, and unbreakable blocks require more methodical execution of specific attacks against opponents than many of us may be used to. It is an absolute pleasure to flutter across the stages as fast as a filing fish as Nigel Thornberry. Like the obvious inspiration from Nickelodeon's All-Star Brawl, this title provides an immersive combat gaming experience for both casual and competitive gamers. Persistent brawlers like me can study characters' specific hitboxes, identify useful counterattacks, and work on mastering the perfect block. Thanks to the universal control scheme for all characters in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, anyone, regardless of their skill level, can pick up and play any fighter. The more competitive community, however, should be delighted with the nuances between playable characters. Technical fighters like April O'Neil may seem mediocre to some, but as soon as the camera clicks into the microphone combo, a whole new world of destruction opens up. Unfortunately, an impressive roster of iconic characters and adorable stages doesn't make up for the fact that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a relatively feature-rich package. There just isn't a lot of content here, especially for solo players. A pure arcade mode serves as the primary solo experience and is nothing more than randomly selected 1v1 matches with AI opponents. When it comes to local and online multiplayer, things open up a bit more, but you're still limited to just three modes; Stock Battles, Timed Battles and Sports. Stock Battles and Timed Battles are your traditional platform fighter modes where your goal is to either outperform or outlast your opponents. Sport is a strange mix of aiming modes that ask players to hit different balls into opposing goals. When mentioning the exciting potential of the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, it's hard to ignore some of the painfully apparent budget deficits. This is especially true in arcade mode, where dialogues taken straight from these cartoons are only displayed as text flaps before the game starts. Even the game's main announcer celebrating the most notable gameplay moments uses recycled and obviously spliced lines of dialogue. For this review, I played Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl on both PC and Xbox Series X. I'm sorry to announce that both platforms are currently experiencing serious performance issues. Currently, I was constantly suffering from frame rate drops and terrible screen tearing on the Xbox Series X while using a variable refresh rate display. When it comes to the PC, screen tearing isn't that constant. These performance issues are unacceptable when playing a fast paced fighting game that relies heavily on constant frame rates and reading your opponent's movements. These performance issues are unacceptable when playing a fast paced fighting game that relies heavily on constant frame rates and reading your opponent's movements. More outrageous issues, like the fact that I can't use diagonal inputs with my controller's D-pad, or my controller disconnecting completely during gameplay, are some of the first ones that come to mind. I also had completely independent inputs several times, such as grabs or special attacks, which apparently were registered by themselves. Not to mention all the times my game crashed completely on both Xbox and PC. I am confident that many of these issues will be resolved in the coming weeks, but there is a lot to be resolved right now. Despite my laundry list of reviews of the current state of the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, I'm still having tons of fun with this platform fighter. If you are someone who loves Super Smash Bros. but mainly plays on Xbox, this is absolutely a title that you and some friends can have fun with. Starting online lobbies with other players and beating each other as Oblina and CatDog is really something no other game can match. Even with an objectively rocky start, I'm still hopeful for the future of the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Right now I'm having a hard time recommending Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl to everyone, but if you're looking for something to fill Super Smash Bros. While it may not be the best fighting game on Xbox, the hectic and somewhat chaotic combat is a great list of cartoon legends, and a huge amount of flashy environments still shine confidently about performance issues and bugs. Let's just hope that GameMill Entertainment, Ludosity and Fair Play Labs continue to expand and develop the game. Conclusion: Nickelodeon All-Star shows promise as a competitor in the platform fighter genre, it only takes a little polish to really shine.

Lessons learned from the Dodgers' victory over Giants

All the talk about the Dodgers' inability to make adjustments to the plate and deliver the clutch disappeared during Saturday's victory. (Author: Gardener)

The same Dodgers team that looked overwhelmed in a National League Division Series opening defeat to the San Francisco Giants on Friday night overwhelmed the Giants in Game 2 on Saturday night. The Dodgers hit 11 hits and broke up a close game of four runs in the sixth inning and three runs in the eighth inning of a 9-2 win at Oracle Park to even hit the best-of-five streak all at once. All the chatter about the Dodgers' inability to make adjustments to the plate and deliver the clutch vanished into the night as Will Smith's towering homer entered a swarm of Giants fans in the left grandstand in the eighth inning. Now the series is moving to Los Angeles, and reigning World Series champions Dodgers are feeling a lot better sending Max Scherzer up the hill to face Giants left-handed Alex Wood in Game 3 on Monday night. "It feels good," said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. Right now it's a three game series, we have home advantage and we have Max on the hill. Mookie Betts set the offensive tone for the Dodgers in Game 2 in Game 2 by placing three Kevin Gausman fastballs with forked fingers near his knuckles as he drew a step to open the game. The Dodgers didn't beat the Giants starter early - Corey Seager struck swinging with his fingers split in his first two at-bats, and the San Francisco right-handed retired 10 straight batters from the second through fifth innings. But unlike Friday night when the Dodgers were chasing way too many Logan Webb changes and sliders out of the zone, the Dodgers had more competitive at-balls, putting many of Gausman's breaking balls and split finger pitches in the dirt, forcing him to to come to the zone. The approach paid off in the second when Julio Urias and Betts both met splinters for RBI singles, and in the sixth when Trea Turner took the lead with a double on a splitter and Will Smith took two splinters in the dirt and a slider for a. put off walk. Chris Taylor walked to load the bases and Cody Bellinger and AJ Pollock hit a 6-1 lead with two double runs. "I thought we gave each other a chance tonight," said Roberts. Even guys who got no hits I felt throughout the line-up, it was a well-played baseball game. ”Roberts couldn't explain how his team can look so lost one night and so locked up the next. “It was good tonight to get Gausman up, put him on the record, use the whole field. Betts made the defensive play of the game, putting Brandon Crawford's Bloop RBI single in the middle right field, turning around and firing a 98-mph laser at third baseman Justin Turner to nail Wilmer Flores, who tried to pull off first to go to third to end the sixth inning. But Trea Turner, the second baseman, has created two web gems of his own, further proof that the long-time shortstop has finally felt comfortable and confident in the new position since his trade from the Washington Nationals on July 30th. Just before Betts' game, Turner maneuvered behind the second base bag to do a backhand dive stop of a Flores grounder and jump over to Seager to force Buster Posey to the second of sixth. Evan Longoria opened the bottom of seventh with a hard grounder to the shortstop side of second base. "There have been some really good defensive games," said Roberts, "especially Trea Turner and the Mookie put Flores on third base." The Dodgers acquired Corey Knebel last October, believing the right-handed man could regain his 2017 All-Star form after missing the entire 2019 season for surgery on Tommy John and battling his way through an injury in the 2020 season when he had a 6:08 ERA in Jan. compiled games. That didn't happen during a 2021 regular season in which Knebel missed nearly four months due to a strain on the right lats, but it could happen at just the right time for the Dodgers. Knebel didn't give up runs, hit 11 and went three in 7 1/3 innings of his last seven regular season games, most coming in low leverage situations, but Roberts threw the fastball curve ball specialist back into high leverage the playoffs, and Knebel was dominant. Knebel knocked out Harrison Bader with a sharp 81 mph turn to end the eighth inning with a runner in the wildcard win, and he threw a 1-2 three-seventh inning on Saturday night, beating Tommy La Stella with a raise 97-mph fastball and freeze by Alex Dickerson with a 79-mph corner for punch three. Knebel's appearance gives Roberts another option to go with Brusdar Graterol, Joe Kelly, Phil Bickford and left-handed Alex Vesia as he bridges the innings between starter and setup man Blake Treinen and closer Kenley Jansen. It was highly recommended in this area on Saturday that Roberts add more of a sledgehammer to his lineup, replacing Pollock with left-handed Gavin Lux, the .360 (18 for 50) with a .967 OPS, a homer and nine. reached RBIs in his last 17 regular season games. Pollock hit .297 with a career high of .892 OPS, 21 homers and 69 RBIs in the season, but had one hit in his last 10 regular season at-bats, going 0 for 3 with a strikeout on wildcard win and looking on Friday night, overwhelmed, hit the plate, hit twice and knocked back on the hill. He kept Pollock in the line-up for Game 2, and Pollock rewarded that decision by walking and scoring in the second step. Home plate referee Angel Hernandez, notorious for his unpredictable strike zone, missed at least five pitches in the first innings, including a 94 mph fastball from Dodgers starter Julio Urias that was far from the plate but in the the third blow demanded Erste. In the lower half of the second, when Hernandez referred to a full-count curve from Urias at the bottom of the zone as the ball, Roberts cooked a leadoff walk that resulted in the Giants scoring a run to take the Dodgers' lead 2-1 to reduce. But the Dodgers also benefited from a sixth round Hernandez call when a 2-and-2 fastball from Giants reliever Dominic Leone to Taylor who caught the outside corner was called the ball. Instead of a strikeout for the second out of the inning, Taylor took the next pitch for a walk to load the bases. Bellinger and Pollock followed with their double doubles to open the game.
