Crypto has risen from China's FUD over a dozen times in the past 12 years

"Predictable" could be a good way to describe today's China FUD, Crash, and (fingers crossed) recovery. (Author: Gardener)

Bitcoin's price fell 5% today after the "breaking" (read: weeks old) news that the People’s Bank of China (PBoC) had ruled all cryptocurrency transactions illegal. 1: Chinese regulators have never really been crypto advocates. While not specifically targeting Bitcoin (BTC), the move appeared to set the precedent for a decade of anti-crypto regulation. 2: In 2013, the PBoC prevented Chinese financial institutions from processing BTC transactions, calling crypto a currency with no "real meaning". The news caused the price of BTC to drop below $ 1,000 at a time when BTC China, or BTCC, was the largest crypto exchange by volume. 2014 taught us that fake reports from PBoC regulators are sometimes as effective as real ones. 3: In March, a fake news story posted on Sina Weibo's website claimed that China's central bank was planning to stop all bitcoin transactions in the country in less than a month. Although the report turned out to be nonsense, it didn't stop the price of Bitcoin from falling. 4: Around the same time, China-based crypto exchange FXBTC said it would close its doors as regulators threaten to ban exchanges. Although admittedly bloody, the price began to recover in a short period of time and was back above $ 600 by the end of May. 5: Although the major Hong Kong-based crypto exchange Bitfinex is not directly controlled by China, it fell victim to one of the biggest hacks in August 2016. Attackers stole approximately 119,756 BTC - worth more than $ 5 billion at the time of publication - and some of the funds are still being tracked to this day. At the time, it is believed that news of the major stock market hack caused the BTC price to drop more than 10% in two days. 6 and 7: In September, China's government officially banned user exchanges within the country, and the PBoC announced that Chinese citizens will not be allowed to fund initial coin offers. It took three months for Bitcoin to rise from $ 4,000 to an all-time high of around $ 20,000 at the time. 8 & 9: The cryptocurrency was headed for one of its biggest bull runs of all time when BTCC said it would be closed amid government “prohibition” (it's still operational) and PBoC's deputy governor claimed “the body Bitcoin “would float down the river one day. 10: In January 2018, reports circulated that Chinese nationals may have caused major cryptocurrency prices to crash. 11: Many argued that the decline was due to Chinese media reports claiming the country is cracking down on crypto mining. By mid-February, Bitcoin's price had fallen more than 65% to $ 6,852. 12: The price of Bitcoin fell slightly in April 2019 when a draft by China's National Development and Reform Commission revealed that the government agency is considering banning mining in the country ... 13: The PBoC followed suit by announcing that the trade is "disposed of" immediately "after discovery. 14: The “crypto bloodbath” in March 2020, in which the price of almost all major tokens collapsed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, was believed to be mainly caused by Chinese miners liquidating their holdings. Related: Bitcoin Price Drops To $ 32.5,000 On "Consistent" New China FUD 15: The Hong Kong government announced plans in November 2020 to ban crypto retailing as part of its anti-money laundering efforts. The first year of COVID ended with Bitcoin breaking the $ 20,000 mark for the first time in three years and reaching an all-time high of more than $ 30,000 before the end of 2020. 17: The following month, the PBoC ordered Chinese banks and mobile payment service providers not to offer banking and processing services to customers involved in crypto-related transactions. 18: Then, in June, officials put an honest mining ban in place, resulting in the ongoing mass exodus of miners from the country. 19: That brings us to today when the PBoC once again declared that all cryptocurrency transactions in China are illegal. Including today's news from the PBoC, there were 11 messages direct from Chinese and Hong Kong regulators enforcing or suggesting a ban on crypto, exchanges or mining, eight major incidents of fake news or media coverage from China affecting the crypto markets and a handful of other incidents - like hacks and decisions made by crypto companies in the country - that led to break-ins. Overall, China has "banned" or otherwise caused FUD in the crypto space on more than 19 different occasions since 2009. Data from Cointelegraph Markets Pro shows that the price of Bitcoin has fallen more than 5% in the past 24 hours, but is currently back above $ 43,000 at the time of publication.

Nintendo announced Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario on Super Mario Bros. Movie. What video game characters has he voiced in the past? (Author: Gardener)

On March 23, Nintendo announced that Chris Pratt would appear as Mario in the upcoming animated Super Mario Bros. The cast choice has raised a lot of questions from fans of Nintendo's famous Italian plumber hero, as many felt Pratt was not well suited for the role. It is worth noting, however, that Pratt has experience dubbing some video game characters for both games and movies, which may have contributed to the decision. Here fans can hear Pratt in an animated form. The cast of Super Mario Bros., which also includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black and Charlie Day, caused quite a stir on social media. Some people shared memes and joked about Pratt's role while others expressed frustration at Pratt being selected over Mario video game voice actor Charles Martinet or an Italian actor. “I hate the way people defend Chris Pratt's choice as Mario. "But would you really want to hear Charles Martinet's Mario for two hours straight?" Yes. In the comments on Pratt's announcement video on Instagram, many users were enthusiastic about the role. "You know what, Chris is such a champion I'm happy for him, I find the casting choices a bit strange, but we've seen that before, Heath Ledger, Alfred Molina ... And see how they proved us wrong , I'm here for that, ”wrote one person. In the past, Pratt has voiced a handful of cartoon characters, some of which were later given video game adaptations. Between 2010 and 2011, Pratt was also a guest as Cooper in the TV series Ben 10: Ultimate Alien. Pratt joined the Lego franchise in 2014 with The Lego Movie, in which he spoke to Emmett Brickowski. In 2019, he repeated his role for The Lego Movie 2 and spoke Rex Dangervest at the same time. The first film also inspired a video game, Lego Dimensions, in 2015, in which Pratt Emmett voiced again. That same year, he voiced Owen in the game Lego Jurassic World. Interestingly, Pratt and his Super Mario Bros. co-star Charlie Day both appeared in The Lego Movie. The film's director, Chris Miller, responded to the Nintendo and Illumination 2022 film with a picture of Pratts and Days Lego characters wearing Mario and Luigi hats. In his Instagram video, Pratt revealed what the Super Mario Bros. He stated that his first experience with Nintendo's franchise was a Super Mario Bros. I've never had a quarter [to play with]. explained and later added, “I am very excited to announce that I will be the voice of this video game that I dreamed of as a kid. Fans will have to wait to hear his Mario impression during Super Mario Bros. theatrical release on December 21, 2022. PARIS (AP) - Midfielder Ander Herrera scored two goals and Kylian Mbappe added another when French league leaders Paris Saint-Germain defeated newly promoted Clermont 4-0 on Saturday to score five straight wins. (Author: Gardener)

PARIS (AP) - Midfielder Ander Herrera scored two goals and Kylian Mbappe added another when French league leaders Paris Saint-Germain defeated newly promoted Clermont 4-0 on Saturday to score five straight wins. Midfielder Idrissa Gueye came off the bench mid-way through the second half to score the fourth goal. Italy star goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma made his debut for PSG, whose home fans will have to wait even longer to see Lionel Messi at Parc des Princes. After the international match, they could return on Wednesday when PSG opens their Champions League season in Bruges. Messi could make his home debut against Lyon next Sunday. But Mbappe shrugged off a minor calf injury sustained in the international match with France and confidently finished Danilo Pereira's pass in the 54th minute. Herrera scored a rare brace with goals in the first half and Gueye scored in the 64th. In the late game, striker Bamba Dieng scored both goals when Marseille won 2-0 at Monaco, moving up to third place. Dieng was difficult to curb for Monaco's defense and hit the post twice before his first goal in the 36th goal. Marseille have scored 10 goals so far, with only PSG scoring more with 16. Monaco finished third last season but only won once and are in 14th place ahead of Sunday's games. "We didn't expect four points from five games, but that's how it is," said Monaco coach Niko Kovac. Nice are also unbeaten ahead of a trip to Nantes and Lyon need to find form at home against Strasbourg. Lyon coach Peter Bosz is still busy with his new role after replacing Rudi Garcia and has only won once. Lyon's defense needs to improve quickly after losing seven goals in four games.

This is a better option as both teams scored every time. Clermont F Mohamed Bayo has 3 goals this season and should be able to break a faulty PSG defense. We mentioned PSG's offensive power. This bet is great value. BET on OVER 3.5 (+112) as there should be a lot of goals to be scored in this game. While Clermont have scored often, they have also allowed 5 goals in four games and given up all 5 in their last two games. Clermont, a top five side in Ligue 1, may still struggle to slow down PSG. Authorities have not yet revealed the identity of the 40-year-old man, but said his body was recovered around 7:45 a.m. near 26th Avenue east of I-359. The body of a man washed away in the floods of Tuscaloosa on Saturday afternoon was found on Sunday morning. Authorities have not yet disclosed the 40-year-old man's identity, but said his body was recovered around 7:45 a.m. near 26th Avenue east of I-359, Tuscaloosa police spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor said. The search began shortly after 2 p.m. On Saturday, when police and fire departments responded on Bonita Terrace, a report of an SUV was swept into a drainage ditch west of 14th Avenue, past Fitts Industries and under Greensboro Avenue. A witness told officers he saw the vehicle get stuck in the drainage tunnel where the ditch under Greensboro flows downstream. The Swift Water Rescue Team of the Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue Service responded and searched the area until late Saturday night. The search has been suspended and resumed on Sunday morning. Taylor said police responded to multiple flood calls during Saturday's heavy rainfall, mostly in areas north of 15th Street, on the UA campus, and on the outskirts of the campus. Day-shift patrol officers were held back to handle the high number of calls. Between 12:30 p.m., the police dispatchers received 105 calls. and 6 p.m., all but a few having to do with the flood. For comparison: There were 58 service calls in the same period last Saturday (UA game day) and 71 on Saturday, September 4th. Saturday's calls included requests to assist TFRS with water rescues, road closures and accidents.

David Moyes has no regrets as Mark Noble's failure costs West Ham

The Hammers manager picked Noble off the bench only to see the midfielder's penalty saved by David De Gea. (Author: Gardener)

David Moyes defended his decision to send Mark Noble on a last-minute penalty after his miss cost West Ham a point against Manchester United. After the Hammers trailed 2-1, club captain Noble, their Mr. Reliable on the spot, was called by Moyes from the bench to take the penalty after Luke Shaw acted in the penalty area. Noble hadn't missed a penalty since December 2016, a remarkable eight months after De Gea last saved a penalty - about 40 penalties ago. But the longtime midfielder, who will retire at the end of the season, was deprived of his moment of glory when De Gea dived left to improve his performance. Sky Sports experts Roy Keane and Graeme Souness criticized the decision, saying the player was neither warmed up nor up to date with the game. “I just thought we had a really good penalty taker on the bench. I would have been more disappointed if I hadn't made the decision. If any of the other players took it and missed it, I would have thought, "Why didn't I bring Mark Noble with me"? “He has an incredibly good record on penalties. With Mark continuing and De Gea not saving many, I hope this is the equalizer. ”Even United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer feared the worst when he saw Noble step in. "I've seen Noble take so many penalties so you feel down and expect to come home on a point," he said. To rub salt in West Ham's wounds, it was another substitute, Jesse Lingard, who scored the winning goal. Lingard, who was on loan for the Hammers last season, scored an excellent shot two minutes from time. Moyes, who wanted to sign the English winger again this summer, added: “It just shows that you always get a second chance. Jesse made a mistake that likely cost United in the middle of the week (in the Champions League loss to Young Boys). “He also got a second chance when he returned to West Ham and we will always be grateful. I wish he hadn't scored, but we still had a chance of a draw. "West Ham took the lead with a deflected shot from Said Benrahma, but Cristiano Ronaldo's fourth goal in three games brought United to 1-1 at halftime Solskjaer felt that Ronaldo was denied two clear penalties when he fell under the challenges of Vladimir Coufal and Kurt Zouma. “We played good football and created some good chances and Cristiano should have scored two penalties but luckily David has this one Penalty saved in the end.

“Shang-Chi” will sweep the box office on the second weekend, “Malignant” Eyes No. 2 spot

"Shang-Chi" is set to hit the home box office on its second weekend, adding the expected $ 33-35 million to last weekend. (Author: Gardener)

Marvel and Disney's “Shang-Chi” will hit the box office for the second straight weekend, adding the expected $ 33-35 million to last weekend. The superhero adventure, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, grossed $ 9.7 million in 4,300 theaters on Friday. Last weekend, the film ended the Labor Day holidays at a record-breaking $ 94.6 million. Industry projections for the film's revenue this weekend are an impressive $ 142.8 million to $ 144.8 million, despite overall ticket sales declining 54% to 56% over the weekend. That percentage drop is standard for a Marvel movie in times of no pandemic, however. “Shang-Chi” was exclusively released in theaters for 45 days, unlike Disney's other releases such as “Black Widow” and “Jungle Cruise”. The new strategy seems to be working for Disney, as the company announced on Friday that it would also release the next Marvel part "Eternals" exclusively in theaters. No. 2 this weekend is James Wan's new horror film "Malignant," which is set to gross $ 5.2 million on its debut weekend. The film raised $ 1.9 million in 3,485 theaters on Friday. It is a toss between “Malignant” and the box office “Free Guy” for second place when “Free Guy” grossed 1.5 million US dollars from 3,650 cinemas on Friday. With Ryan Reynolds in the lead role, the box office hit is expected to add another $ 4.5 million to $ 5 million this weekend, breaking the $ 100 million mark. The slasher film "Candyman" will land in fourth place on a three-day estimate of $ 4.25 million, bringing its total profit to $ 47.4 million. Rounding out the top 5 is Disney's "Jungle Cruise", which will continue its run, adding another $ 2.2 million to a total of $ 109.6 million.
